Cheers mate, completely agree on hiding the grain! Without doubt that took the time.
Shortcut wise, erm not really it’s a bloody slow process that eats paint 😂 Closest to a short cut I’ve found is plenty of spray putty, wet sand it back then epoxy and flat that before spraying. Sprayer then had a simple job, but didn’t save me much time. It’s  a thankless task however you do it!

Hear the pain buddy... it cracks me up when folks just say ‘it’s just wood’... we’ll not entirely as it seems to take days to get painted right. Great job really impressive

Exhaust and headers are from Simply Sports Cars here in Sydney. Just wait till I get them to check the car over, I'd like to know the root cause of issue.

Thanks for the link Dirk, do you track your Exige ?

The SSC guys are pretty good so you're in good hands :) They should also be able to help with the remap if needed as I believe they've got access 👍

    Guys,

I'm also experiencing some issues after fitting the intake where the car will not idle when cold and accelerator input is inconsistent, ,aka flat spot. Im getting ECU codes checked next week and will keep you posted.

FYI - my V6 has headers and and 3" exhaust, everything was fine prior fitting the intake cause still TBD.

Im sorry to say but its likely due to you having headers and no cats as you may have pushed the standard ECU too far.... that said others have done this and its been fine. However its not something I have tested or marketed as being recommended. The intake is designed as a simple bolt on kit for standard cars (standard being standard engine).

I don't understand why Lotus does not deliver Exige with a LSD, while Evora has one...
Especially looking at the part numbers at both sides of both differentials, they are exactly the same, must then be plug and play...
    There must be a reason...

Has anyone already ordered an Exige with such a LSD fitted at build time, at the Lotus factory ?
Quite a specific demand, but technically not impossible...

Lotus say a proper LSD ruins the handling and causes understeer... again like the DPM claim (IMO) is just marketing BS

You aren’t able to order from factory with an LSD. Until maybe they bring out a last of the last special edition with one (keeping something in their back pocket and then claiming record times at Hethel!).

Further conspiracy thoughts... I would swear when the 430Cup was launched at FOS and went up the hill it had a proper LSD! This in my mind is clear when you watch the donut bit as an open diff would not lock up in the way it does!!!
