@zaero good to hear you got to the bottom of the problem. Im assuming you're happy with the air intake system? Would be good to get some feedback on the intake and manifold setup you have esp as you've not had a remap. Be good to hear.

Agree 100% can't beat going direct to Komotec! Awesome guys in Mendig 👍

The challenge with wrapping is the clams as they’re one piece and too big for one sheet of wrap which means it’s doable but you have joins (which personally I’m not keen on). I did get a quote once from PW Pro who i highly rate for full wraps and he suggested around £2.5k from memory.

It’s the fitting that’s the challenge and the big cost!

Hi Imran,

Are there any of the sills airbox designs available?

Duncan
Hi Duncan
Congrats on the new car! I'll ping you a DM as probably best -

Cheers mate, completely agree on hiding the grain! Without doubt that took the time.
Shortcut wise, erm not really it’s a bloody slow process that eats paint 😂 Closest to a short cut I’ve found is plenty of spray putty, wet sand it back then epoxy and flat that before spraying. Sprayer then had a simple job, but didn’t save me much time. It’s a thankless task however you do it!Hear the pain buddy... it cracks me up when folks just say ‘it’s just wood’... we’ll not entirely as it seems to take days to get painted right. Great job really impressive

@MrP_ awesome work buddy! Love the routing work... the paintings a real ball ache isn't it! Takes ages and soo much paint to get a nice smooth finish which doesn't show the grain.
If you've found a short cut on the painting let me know -
Would probably suggest 430 owners upgrade to the track exhaust so they can enjoy the car on more UK circuits.
Also removes the default excuse

@Jack my interest is to improve the travel length in the Ohlins ... more travel resulting in a better ride being the idea.

We need to talk lol I’ve been considering these for a few months now lol!

So excited by this!!!! Also shows how Komotec direct can literally provide any option to the market ... Great news Matt and hope this pandemic finishes soon so you can get a season out of this beast!!!

Exhaust and headers are from Simply Sports Cars here in Sydney. Just wait till I get them to check the car over, I'd like to know the root cause of issue.
Thanks for the link Dirk, do you track your Exige ?
The SSC guys are pretty good so you're in good hands They should also be able to help with the remap if needed as I believe they've got access 👍

@zaero fair point - Ill update the product description to reflect the point ref headers etc... What headers are you using out of interest?

Guys,
I'm also experiencing some issues after fitting the intake where the car will not idle when cold and accelerator input is inconsistent, ,aka flat spot. Im getting ECU codes checked next week and will keep you posted.
FYI - my V6 has headers and and 3" exhaust, everything was fine prior fitting the intake cause still TBD.
Im sorry to say but its likely due to you having headers and no cats as you may have pushed the standard ECU too far.... that said others have done this and its been fine. However its not something I have tested or marketed as being recommended. The intake is designed as a simple bolt on kit for standard cars (standard being standard engine).

I don't understand why Lotus does not deliver Exige with a LSD, while Evora has one...
Especially looking at the part numbers at both sides of both differentials, they are exactly the same, must then be plug and play...
There must be a reason...Has anyone already ordered an Exige with such a LSD fitted at build time, at the Lotus factory ?
Quite a specific demand, but technically not impossible...Lotus say a proper LSD ruins the handling and causes understeer... again like the DPM claim (IMO) is just marketing BS
You aren’t able to order from factory with an LSD. Until maybe they bring out a last of the last special edition with one (keeping something in their back pocket and then claiming record times at Hethel!).
Further conspiracy thoughts... I would swear when the 430Cup was launched at FOS and went up the hill it had a proper LSD! This in my mind is clear when you watch the donut bit as an open diff would not lock up in the way it does!!!

Thanks @Seriouslylotus conscious you've done a lot of work in helping out with these updates 👏

My 350 did 7 trackdays and 12k miles and I sold it with over 85% left on both front and rear brakes..
Try harder
-
Run DPM on track and drive hard and you'll find the rear discs/pads will get eaten up very very quickly!
-
If it’s wet race if it’s dry all off... all off with the LSD (makes a big differance)
-
Wheres the rear pic of the car @MAG be good to get a copy
-
Its been a little while since I cut a good batch of side sills but managed to get a few sets done last night if anyones interested

Dont get me started @Bibs on Cheltenham Festival! 260,000 people coming into an area which has major issues with hospital infrastructure and support already! We have 3x cases already confirmed. Dont get me wrong im not one of the toilet roll hoarders but I do feel that sensible precautions are worth while to help prevent another Italian job happening in the UK! I guess the £500M betting and £20M hospitality swung it!

I think 380 Cup end plates are circa £400 each side. You can order via B&C/Deroure.
