  1. I used my original door handles to fit the door when the body was done. Now I’ve swapped in a new set. Added a new barrel and moved a portion of the mechanism across. Will require some adjustment once the door is re-mounted..
  2. Sorry for all the posts. The fabric section around the clock looks tricky. Any tips on how to create the curve for the proud corners. Looks like the fabric is formed. Any tips?
  3. Quick question. I’ve heard numerous people mention the use of scrim foam on the interior. There doesn’t really appear to be any scrim foam on my original interior apart from an ultra thin backing on the original Marcasite material. Is that right? 🙏🏼
  4. Rivet is done. Required a delicate tap. I've selected the fabric. I’m still trying to work out how much is required. Dash, A pillars, binnacle, door cards. Does anyone have a guesstimate? Thanks
  5. Thanks. My teeth are fine. Just need to tighten the pin. C2 is a good tip though
  6. Speaking of doors…. This door regulator pin has wiggles. Not in an eliptical way. Up and down. Drivers side only. Are they NLA? Any suggestions as to how to remove the play. Do I tap the rivet on the rear? I’ve given it a light tap and it’s made no difference.
  7. Thanks, lads. David - thanks for the tip. Keen to keep it as close to authentic as possible. The mouse fur looks like the pile is too high. I will stick with the Alcantara dark grey at this stage. Just need to understand the backing situation. I'll wait until @drdoom bedazzles us 😲with pics of his new interior before I make the purchase. Might work on the door mechanisms while I wait.
  8. Hello everyone, Alcantara comes in both backed and a non-backed version. Should I use backed for the dash and non-backed for the binnacle? The corners look awfully tight. What do you all think?
  9. May I ask, what was the colour code and where did you source? Thanks
  10. @Fridge i think I’ll need to keep it as per delivery certificate. I’ve gone this far keeping things original - i might as well see it through.
  11. A pillar does look good thanks Steve. David that’s a great pic of the interior for that 2.2. If ii stick to my proposed scheme the roof will be light grey. I am doing my best to keep things original so it looks like drab it is 😔
  12. The interior is proving to be a bit of a head-scratcher. I'm trying to land on a fabric source & colour scheme. Few comments: the correct scheme is fairly drab. The delivery certificate states the interior was Gunmetal Marcasite. This has faded to a lovely bottle green which I love. Shame. What are your thoughts? I have narrowed the fabric source and colour scheme to the following: Alcantara Style Slate Grey - foam backed (ASG) Black Vinyl (BV) Ribbed mid-grey roof lining (from S&J Sportscars) (GR) I have marked up a summary of the parts that need to be recovered. Attached as a pdf Any feedback? Lotus interior.pdf
  13. Lotusfab: The three nut metal plate in the picture holds the internal door handle on. the screws that hold it on are UNF PanPozi Philips head 3/16 inch 3/4 length
  14. Thanks for the replies. Looks like Black Caviar Alcantara is the best match despite it being difficult to massage around corners. There is this option but it’s difficult to assess with the provided information. Go to the last two pics. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/126286859746?mkcid=16&;mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=o2c7BqSzSl-&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=o2c7BqSzSl-&widget_ver=artemis&media Onwards and upwards.
