  1. I can tell from that comment that you haven’t had any in depth dealings with the DVLA, in particular their medical dept. A department full of first rate utter wankers if ever there was one! 😠😠😠
  2. Fcking stupid Unions, “our members will be losing their jobs so let’s stop their earnings earlier” Management (or what I would say if a member of) “OK then, we’ll close it earlier!” https://news.sky.com/story/port-talbot-steel-workers-vote-to-strike-over-proposed-furnace-closures-13112675Q What do these unions not understand about simple maths & economics
  3. This article leaves me with nothing but complete rage. WTF has happened to our justice system, just about everything in this country is broken. The judges never consider the victims, they just seek an easy way out. God I with we had a political party which had politicians with backbones and purpose who could sort this mess out. Surely the political parties should be working together on issues such as this, not trying to point score across the Common’s table. Do our politicians not have any pride for their country? I am seriously considering emigrating at 70 year’s old. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13279773/Anger-child-rapist-wins-ten-year-asylum-battle-avoid-deportation-Eritrea-stay-UK-one-360-immigration-rulings-February-March.html
  4. You are 100% correct @LotusLeftLotusRight, Hamas gave Netanyahu the opportunity and the World condemned Hamas for their actions & backed Netanyahu in responding. However, the sign of a true leader is knowing when to stop and not going too far. Netanyahu went way beyond what was reasonable a long time ago. He has put himself into an impossible situation now, he cannot win!
  5. Similarly the teachers at the primary school that our grandkids go to get a day off for their birthdays! Tbh the whole school situation these days pisses me off. Take your kids out of school for 3 days to go on holiday and you get threatened with a fine, but teachers are now allowed random days off and schools get closed to be used as voting stations etc but apparently the latter 2 doesn’t disrupt a kids education the same as taking then on holiday.
  6. What’s the point of Starmer’s response, just calling Sunak & Hunt “the chuckle brothers of decline”? Can someone explain to me what he intends to achieve by just another round of petty schoolboy name calling rather than offering some sensible valid criticism whilst suggesting alternatives? This is exactly why I will not be voting at the next GE. I can’t in all honesty vote Tory because of the mess that they have created and there is no way I can vote for the bunch of Beano characters of Dennis the Menace and Minnie the Minx that Labour represent (showing my age here🙄). FFS Starmer & his cronies leading the country when all they know is name calling and how to act like deprived, uneducated schoolchildren. They act just as their Spitting Image puppets would, but this is Parliament we are talking about, not a satirical TV show! The political system in this country is completely broken.
  7. They are not politicians any more, just jumped up overgrown school kids carrying on their playground disagreements and name calling between their respective gangs. Quite frankly pathetic the lot of them!

Whilst I’m not a fan of Horner, in fact I can’t stand his smug little face, I do think that the system is at fault. Why can he be named in a case like this but not the person who is making the allegations? There is always a feeling in this country with these cases that someone is guilty until proven innocent with the media always in a rush to hang them before the facts emerge. For all we know the person making the allegations might just be a snow flake gold digger who sees an opportunity for a big pay out Exactly the same with Russel Brand. The media hung him out to dry without a shred of evidence which then resulted in a few other, possibly snow flake gold diggers, possibly not, jumping on to the bandwagon. The media should be silenced until the investigations have taken place.
  9. The hard woman Sturgeon demonstrating why she was kicked out of drama school, really crap at acting 😩, but excellent at lying!
  10. What are all of these severe weather warnings all about, so severe that they describe ‘immense snowfall in places of between 2cm-5cm. FFS that was considered a ‘light dusting of snow’ just a few years ago. Once again we have the media trying to make a mountain out of a molehill, they have become totally fixated on winter weather ever since one of them was silly enough to claim their was a ‘beast in the east’ a few years 4-5 years back. Can’t we just gag and ban all of the U.K. media, they serve very little purpose.
  11. The question needs to be put directly to Starmer, not the Labour Party, and on live TV 🙏🙏
  12. I too get your point Tony but after witnessing 3 police motorcyclists rocking up at the drive through Costa I was in this morning, taking off all their gear, sitting inside having a nice warm coffee and still being there chatting 40 minutes later when I left, I do wonder how real this shortage of resources is. 🤔🤔
  13. Junior doctors………….now approaching their 26th day of strikes (unless I heard I wrong). So poor that they can afford to throw away a month’s pay through strike action!
  14. I blame the media for running with the “story” at all
  15. Andy, if you are both half serious about this do it whilst you can. We had similar thoughts when we returned from Saudi 10 years ago, in fact we decided that this is what we would do whilst we were in Saudi. Then on returning put it off for what was going to be 3 years so that we could spend some time with family. Towards the end of the 3rd year the dream was over once my cancer was diagnosed. As the saying goes “you just don’t know what’s around the corner” - too true! Friends of ours who spent 5 years as ex pats in Hong Kong, returning just over a year ago, bought a Motorhome on their return and spend 3-4 months at a time travelling around Europe returning to the U.K. for a month then off again. Modern day “Gypsies” perhaps, but they are delivering on their dream (early) retirement.
  16. You’ll soon be making use of those rear Evora seats Uncle Bibs, congratulations 🍻
  17. Probably @LotusLeftLotusRight because these days: News reporters=Pointless Twats
  18. Andy, iirc the guy representing “bereaved families” is a lawyer hired by them. I’m not 100% sure because I refuse to listen to any of it. The whole real purpose and cost of the witch hunt just makes my blood boil. Why should anyone representing a very, very minor minority be in attendance at such an enquiry let alone allowed to ask questions. The media talk about elections in parts of Ukraine being a sham. The fact that they themselves are lapping this up and not calling it a sham once again proves how biased and possibly corrupt the media are in this country.

Sounds like comments from someone who is out of his depth, which he quite probably is.
  20. Both just much too full of their own importance, plus Khan ought to think about how knife crime has increased in London under him. An utter imbecile!

The one thing that I would love to happen, I hope and pray that one day in the none too distant future, Red Bull are found to have been cheating with some sort of gizmo on Verstappen’s car and they are subsequently disqualified from every race over the past 2 seasons. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 This would certainly go some way in explaining why Perez is no where near Verstappen in races with, so called, similar cars. Spiteful I know, but that’s how Verstappen’s attitude and demeanour sits with me!

Don’t forget @pete that F1 is run by the FIA, that’s the Farcical Idiots in Autosport
  23. That is very much my thinking about IT, although when I mention it to IT people I get told that it is only the case because others just received what they asked for, it’s just because they couldn’t specify what they wanted correctly. Me response usually begins with bull…. 🙄
  24. I would hazard a guess that the 90%+ of investments held by the private sector in final salary pension funds have yielded poor performances over the past 25 years. However, in the private sector part of the onus of correcting the deficit has been born by employees in either increased contributions or lower salary multiples, whilst public sector employees just sit on their golden laurels and try to underperform the investments in their pension schemes. You are 100% about holding councils and the public sector accountable for their decisions. Local council here built themselves sparky new offices and part of the financial justification was that their then current offices occupied a prime site for developers and the proceeds from the sale of them together with lower maintenance costs over whatever period made their decision a ‘no brainer.’ So, here we are, some 8 years later and the site has still not been sold and they are still having to spend money on security etc for it.🙄
  25. Let’s not forget the £m poured in to fund under performing final salary pension schemes every year and in one off top up's. This figure should be a mandatory declaration on the annual bluff that all councils provide to their CT payers. No wonder council workers never want to leave their jobs, although looking at how many of them currently perform I doubt that they would last long in the outside world.
