Just taking in points from the Fish’s speech, still swimming in cloudy waters & dreaming of SturgeonLand.
It would seem that SturgeonLand being a member of the EU is a pure formality and that Scotland is better prepared for independence than it was in 2014, although she conveniently doesn’t say how 🤔
She says she has loads of detail & will take journalists questions later. Please let there be a decent journalist amongst you, not just reporters, and ask her to reveal details of her fully costed 10 & 20 year vision for a viable independent Scotland. She surely can’t be flying blind in her quest to get votes, in the same way that she has recently accused Truss of 🙄

I would like to have seen him reverse the removal of the cap on bankers bonuses.
Not doing so gives the overriding impression that the rich are still being supported when the general rank & file of the working public have to suffer from the remainder of the reversals and still gives the high street banks the benefit of increased windfall profits by keeping, or increasing, the ever widening disparity between BOE interest rates, mortgage rates & savings rates

@DanRA few days after the bridge was partially destroyed there was speculation that it was Russia’s own doing.
It appeared to have been carefully planned not to cause too much damage so that it could be partially reopened within 24 hours. Plus of course it gave Putin the excuse he was looking for as a reason to escalate the war in the way that he has since.
What I find amazing is that Putin, his ministers and the Kremlin invent so many lies and become convinced by their own lies that the lies quickly turn into reality in their heads.

When will the media start to report things correctly.
Headline “Protester sprays paint on Aston Martin showroom” totally incorrect.
If they must report it the headline should read “Vandal commits criminal damage to Aston Martin showroom”Please, please, please can the media send their reporters on a course to learn the difference between a protester and a vandal.
The fact that they film themselves doing it just shows that they expect to get away with just a slap on the wrist. We definitely need some real justice from the courts in this country.

I do fear what type of PM Starmer would be with that aggressive Barbie doll by his side and how the markets would react to a Labour govt.
However, Starmer gave his most sensible and honest speech yet (or probably his only sensible one) last week when he told Labour MPs “we have been gifted an opportunity, an opportunity which I never thought would happen,, so don’t ruin it by starting any infighting within the Labour movement”

I went to the sperm donor clinic and the nurse said 'can you masturbate in the cup?' - I said 'I'm good but I'm not sure I'm competition standard'.
I found a note on the fridge from my wife saying "Its not working - I've gone back to my Mothers" ... I checked and the milk's still cold?! Dunno what she's on about.

@ramjetPutin is trying to demonstrate strength because he knows how much NATO back off when he does.
So far it’s a war of kindergarten words and really time that NATO showed some balls and called his bluff. Needs planning carefully and the US &Biden need to keep their mouths shut about what they are doing. Why does the US want to tell the World what they are doing rather than just getting on with it. They are always revealing their hand to Putin and he is just laughing at them.
One thing for sure, but they can’t let him continue as is

Same as you @DDubyai avoided it until 2 weeks ago.
I was advised I was eligible for an anti-viral infusion so had that the day after testing positive and after 48hours I felt 100%, then managed to test negative 6 days later. Only downside is that I had to cancel my next booster & rearrange for 21st Oct.If you could get any of the anti-viral drugs out there I would recommend it

I see that Lavrov has done his usual speech at the UN and then walked out again before he really gets challenged.
Why the fcuk don’t they now arrest him and send him for trial to The Hague for being complicit in the war crimes committed by Russia in Ukraine?
No doubt there is something in the UN charter preventing this but Russia don’t comply with the charter on many levels. In my book 2 wrongs do a make a right!

Try obtaining a new quote as an alias. DL appear not to understand the loyalty concept where they are not supposed to charge more for renewals than for a quote for new business.
I did this with the wife’s car insurance, the quote was considerably less and once called & told about this they could magically reduce the renewal to that figure.
DL also appear to try it on with auto renewals. My wife said no to auto renewal 3 years ago and they always say on the renewal notice that it will renew automatically unless they get a call otherwise. She always calls to say she has not agreed to auto renewal but clearly they take no notice, so this time she said “I will consider renewing after I receive an email from you confirming that auto renewal does not apply to my policy.” She now has evidence that the policy is not on auto renewal.
Why did she stick with DL, because they were still the cheapest by quite a margin. She just accepts that she has to “play the game” every 12 months
