  1. Happy New Year to all. Only a few more days before our first meet on the New Year so if you are intending to come please add your name to the list. I know a number of you will have taken your Lotus off the road for the winter so please turn up in your winter car or bicycle. ?
  2. Hi Jan I am sorry for not seeing this post sooner. If you let me know what your itinerary is from Newcastle to Duns and where you will be staying that weekend and what your planned movements are on 8th April. I will have a look at some routes. We have our regular monthly breakfast meeting on the first Sunday of the month, which just happens to be on 8th April so our group could meet up with you at some point. I presume you will be visiting the grave on 7th April, the anniversary of Jim's death. I see from another post on the forum, you arrive in Newcastle on 5th April. I am using that crossing one day before you but alas not in a Lotus. It would have been good to share the crossing with your group. Look forward to hearing from you. Brian
  3. Our first meet of the New Year will be at Mannerstons Farm Shop & Cafe EH49 7LY on 7th January 2018 at 10:00am. We have been there before in November 2016 and everyone agreed that the breakfast was excellent. I have asked this time that we are not grouped together on a large table and that they don't wait until everyone is seated until taking our breakfast orders. Unfortunately neither @Al. or I will be able to attend. So don't be shy, someone has to be first, so please add your name to the list. I will be monitoring the list as I need to let the cafe know on 5th Jan how many to expect. 1.
  4. Just to reiterate what everyone else is saying, it was great night and enjoyed the company. Getting home was OK despite the threat of lots of snow, there was very little on the M25 towards London City Airport. Merry Christmas to all.

  7. Knock Knock, anybody out there!! The deadline is looming in 4 days time, any more for the Torness visit please add your names and email Sharron ASAP.
  8. Thanks Mark, I did find the other socket but still getting the Linking Error message. Must be my scanner I think.
  9. Well I found the socket and plugged in my scanner but it comes up with a Linking error. The scanner I am using is a MaxiScan MS300 by Autel, and guess what, I can't find the instruction book. The scanner works on my Evora and also on my wife's Audi A3 so why not the Esprit?
  10. Simple question but I don't know the answer.

Breakfast at Dunbar Garden Centre (10:00am) followed by tour of Torness Power Station (12:00) For those wishing to take the tour of the power station we need to book in advance as all visitors have to be security cleared since it's a nuclear licenced site . Email your Name, Address, Date of Birth, Nationality to Sharron at Sharron.Macpherson@edf-energy.com – strict deadline of Thursday 26 th October 2017 ( to allow me time to get back from holiday and get the security checking process sorted ) . If you're not 100% sure if you can attend then sign up now and cancel later. Note: This is a walking tour of the station that will take approximately 90 minutes and will include use of lifts, narrow corridors and over 90 stairs. The tour may not be suitable for people with walking difficulties. Each participant over the age of 16 must bring photographic ID on the day of the tour. A passport is the preferred form of ID, but if someone does not have a valid passport then a photo driving licence supported by your birth certificate is fine. Mobile phones, cameras & other electronic devices are not permitted on the tour and this is checked via handheld metal detector.

The November breakfast meet will be at Gloagburn Farm Shop, Tibbermore, Perthshire, PH1 1QL, usual time 10:00am - midday. We have visited here a couple of times before. After breakfast we could do a run up to House of Bruar for Coffee, before heading back south to Perth and staying off the A9 for as long as possible, thereby avoiding most of the average speed cameras. Possible route to House of Bruar via the Sma' Glen Possible route to House of Bruar via Killin I only need to know how many are having breakfast at Gloagburn Farm Shop as I need to advise them of numbers. We can decide on the day what run if any we do. Please add you name to the list in the Original post here
