  1. The one at the start of the month posted in here. Up the messages a bit.
  2. Yes dropped her in for TPMS so glad she was on site anyway. Looked like a cracker day. Only noticing Robin Walker’s Irish Weekend notice as well. A local Lotus OG. Good times for local owners!
  3. On my hols but enjoy. My car might be there anyway waiting on its TPMS module LOL
  4. Harry M mentions the screen lag - by the time you see the shift lights its in the limiter. I've just automatically adjusted in my V6 to shift at the first flicker; this must be why. If there is paddle to shift lag in the I4 as well as tacho display lag that could be really frustrating. I'm going to try and get hold of an I4 for a review as there is a bit of variation in opinion. A 4.5 star car in Evo, yet the HG review that I would suggest is not a 4.5, and Autocar gave it a 3.5 (here) echoing the gearbox concerns. Hopefully software to the rescue! At least the Emira is back in the media. I think the V6 has had a tough time, and sometimes passed over by the motoring media (the V6 notably absent from some 'group tests'), not to mention the almost toxic levels of grumbling about Lotus CS. Lotus have brought some of this on themselves for sure, but they also built a stunning car in the V6 Emira, and as an owner with the keys in my hand and the car in my drive, I couldn't be happier.
  5. Wishful thinking, probably the Boxster 718 RS. Or both?!
  6. Brilliant day out, I should have parked up with you guys (and you should have told me to as well Ryan!)
  7. I will be at both days make sure to say hi!
  8. I’m the same due to family commitments - next time!
  9. Fantastic Pat! 'Our' LE Evora was the gateway drug, what a great car. Good news is that same DNA especially in the steering department is carried right through to the Emira. Now that lotus are getting the likes of door panels manufactured by Eissmann you can see the step up in what I'd call an engineered finish over the hand finished Evora interior. Although I have to say I miss those Recaros, some of the best seats ever to grace my behind!
  10. Yes - I have the wiper issue, which I did talk about on video, but it was left on the cutting room floor, and to be honest the boot was crammed so some self inflicted. On the wiper issue, Scott Walker warned us about this before collection, so I'm sure that will get resolved down the road. I have road noise about 6in above the wing mirrors, on both sides, and you can tell its a door seal type issue as you can run your finger along the seal when at speed and change the wind noise that you hear. I heard the same on a demo car I drove previously. Final one is that my auto lights seem to be always on, according to the dash despite ambient light levels. None of these issues have spoiled the enjoyment of the car. In fact these issues seem to annoy others more on the forums who don't even have their cars yet or have cancelled.
  11. I finally collected my Seneca Blue Emira last week and took it straight on the continent. I'll post up more photos and thoughts but for the mean time, here's my collection/trip:
  12. That's me too @Jack Stone 👍 Will start a thread soon!
  13. He's doing 140+ through flugplatz on a busy day, talking to camera on his first lap in this car. An solid endorsement of the car and its ability if you can spare the mental capacity to do that out the gate. Anyway what do I know. Here's an entirely unrelated photo. Thread will follow soon.
  14. Sounds great, should have my Emira in the next few weeks to join!
  15. They have demonstrators already and are taking orders I believe. Great that we have a local base for support, when it finally opens.
  16. Fantastic news. Spoke to them today and there's huge enthusiasm for Lotus, and with CH behind it we hope this means they will look after us Lotus owners in the province for a long time to come.
  17. Just spoke to Hethel. 8th July 21 deposit. Jan production for Feb collection.
  18. Got the email. Awaiting the call.
  19. Sadly no longer a Lotus dealer in NI, and although it would be fantastic to find a good use for the NI protocol, flying pigs come to mind. Must be the Irish Sea border holding up my checkout call!
  20. This should be released as a GCSE we all have to pass before getting our cars. Literally anything to take the mind off the wait. Section A. Question 4. Name the fishy electrical expensive smell coming from behind the dashboard
  21. Up for some track time, keep me informed.
  22. With a 7 week old nothing is certain so if you see me, you see me - don't keep me a space. And if I don't make it look have a great day regardless, its some event.
  23. Off the back of this thread put a call into Lotus Customer Service earlier this week. I'm a 8th July 2021 depositor with car originally due July, then August. Told by Lotus to expect 6-8 week delay putting me into October. No chance of spec changes (as we all know by now but hell its free to ask again), and yes factory collection could potentially put it back slightly but the call hander didn't have any definitive information on that. I realise that this is the same message we're all getting, so a positive is at least its consistent. It's frustrating that our dates are slipping but saying that a quick phone call to Lotus is easily done, and thankfully the price being held is a big deal when Kias are up 10% and Teslas up to 20% in the last few months. I'd say I would feel significantly different if what is the guts of an £80k car became £90k overnight. I think base cars at £60k at this stage are wishful thinking!
