    I'm going to query that bill, TBH. Plus no I did not get a coffee (will remedy that multiple times in future!). Back on topic, I do as much as I can myself, but most people want garages to do have done the work, for resale value. Lots of preventative work, such as Duralac-ing bolts, ACF-50-ing suspension/nuts, etc. Have changed dampers/springs on other cars and, as the other guys say, it's very educational/rewarding.

    My last bog-standard 2-year service on my GT410 was £690.......so starting to think like this myself. At the very least, won't be going back to main-dealer again!

    Given what I just got charged for a B Service, you are not wrong! I honestly would have been shocked if a Porsche dealer had charged what they did. Won't be going back.

    I've recently been wondering what they will do at Hethel once the Emira line ends. Emeya and Eletre are built entirely in China, aren't they? So they may not need Hethel after Emira? In that case, C8RKH's slightly apocryphal last sentence may turn out to be true.....which would be very sad indeed.

    I rate Contis highly, but for me it's impossible to beat the performance AND longevity of Michelins; in the long run, they work out very reasonably because they last longer. My GT410 had PS4S as standard.

    Given there's only - I think - 25 GT430s in the UK, the chances of a spare used set is pretty slim!

    I won't disagree with you about using our cars, I do think that's pretty significant tin-worm. On that subject, I can highly recommend ACF-90 rust treatment; I've found it extremely good at combating and converting rust.

    Holy moley that is serious rust! Well done for getting someone else to tackle it; it will be quite the thing to disassemble!

    Those dampers are now for sale. They look good, but the Core+ ones are not cheap (!!!).

    Supersports are still a perfectly good tyre; I wouldn't change them until they get low.

    If you read the very first post, it looks like it was done without removing the dash. I also agree that removing the dash by an audio company doesn't sound like a good idea.
