  1. Sorry, I’m not asking for myself in a few years I’m just generally interested if any owners have looked at switching recently and how close Lotus’ part ex offers were vs private sale.
  2. I’m not looking to sell mine as I need the 2+2 capability of the Evora but maybe in a year or two I would consider. I’m just interested in what, if anything dealers would offer an Evora owner given they are now pushing a 0% finance offer on new Emira’s and used market is starting to get filled with used Emira’s.
  3. Looking at the market for Emira’s and Evora’s at the moment, what would you suggest is the best way to move from an Evora to an Emira? I would normally look to sell privately to maximise the value of the car but what are dealers offering on Evora’s as part exchange against Emira’s? It seems there are loads of Emira’s for sale and dealers perhaps struggling to shift stock so would they offer a good part ex value on an Evora at the moment to tempt someone into an Emira? Trev
  4. White 400 that was discussed recently is back on Autotrader at £35k. Previous posters suggested it might need quite a bit of work to get it up to scratch. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202405029298370?sort=most-recent&advertising-location=at_cars&make=Lotus&model=Evora&postcode=cv239bu&fromsra
  5. Tidy looking, low mileage 2010 NA Evora on pistonheads. 20k miles, £31k. It’s ardent red, otherwise known as the ‘best colour’ 😂. https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/16599067
  6. Winning bid on the GT410 was £57,500 with reserve met so assume it has sold
  7. This is a tricky one. I think if you are a S1 owner then the Emira is still such a big leap in money that it probably doesn't make sense. The S1's are such good value that it's difficult to not make a case for them being one of the best £30k sports car you can buy. If money was no object I'd have an Emira over my Evora S purely for the styling. I adore the side profile and rear of the Evora but I look at my Evora from the front and don't think it's a pretty car (my last 2 cars were a S1 e-type and Aston V8 Vantage so tough competition). I still haven't driven an Emira but keen to see how it differs to the Evora but the one thing that makes me want to hold onto my Evora is the fact it's a 2+2 and I actually use it that way. I'll be picking the kids up tonight from school in it and so I can justify owning one and enjoying the Lotus with the family makes it a truely special car. However, if I didn't have kids of the need for the rear seats then the arguement of it's a 2+2 is irrelevant as the Evora at that point just becomes a standard 2 seat sport car with extra luggage space. Once my kids are too big for the Evora I would likely look at buying an Emira. Trev
  8. Just wanted to give this an update. I've had confirmation today from the manufacturer that made the Evora headlights has now ceased production. Therefore I guess once any new old stock has been ordered you won't be able to get replacement headlights.
  9. So I have just found that it appears you can still order headlights but at £3800 a set they are not cheap!
  10. Hi all When I bought my Evora I was warned about checking the headlights of any possible car for crazing. As far as I've read this is a common issue that effects many Evora's and while refurbishment is a possibility, replacing the units with new items from Lotus isn't as you can no longer get these parts. Firstly can anyone confirm that the above statement is correct that new headlights are not available either from Lotus or any other third party? The next question is do we think it would be worth investigating the possiblity of having these units remanufactured or possibly develop a revised version of the headlight that perhaps gives the car a slightly more contemporary style finish while at the same time attempting to engineer the original crazing issue out of the headlights? I know companies like GRP have engineered tail lights that are slightly more modern so thinking of something similar for headlights. I've started the ball rolling by contacting the original lighting system manufacturer with an outline of the issue and to get some initial information on whether a reproduction unit might be possible. I know the Evora was only a low volume production car but I do think there is value in trying to produce a new unit as I'm sure the issue of these headlights will only get worse over time. I'd love to hear from owners on here if this is a worthwhile endeavour. Thanks Trev
  11. Nice looking 2015 Evora 400 just listed on Autotrader for £49k with 23k miles. I do like an orange Evora. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202404279119480?radius=1500&postcode=CV23 9BU&model=EVORA&make=LOTUS&search-target=usedcars&sort=datedesc&saved-search-id=8a42c1878a8931c8018b2d7d95926e20&logcode=pp&utm_medium=email&utm_source=alerts&utm_campaign=at_braze_cars_web_email_api_daily_alerts_saved-search
  12. It’s a buyers market so if I were you I’d try a few cheeky offers on cars that have been on the market a while. I’d say target price for a GT410 sport should be £60k.
  13. A few people have asked where the 400 has been advertised, that there looks to be issues etc so hopefully this will help. I'm on the Lotus Drivers Club what's app groups and the owner pinged an update to one of the groups. If anyone wants his contact details let me know and I'll pass on his number. As I say, I don't know the owner or the car but £35k seems very good value. **For Sale ** Evora 400 2016. Manual. 2 + 2. 60,000 Miles MOT due Jan 2024, Service 'C' just carried out. FSH from Lotus and Performance garages. —£35,000 —- I haven’t had any interest in the car. I am now close to needing to dump it off with webuyanycar 😞 price drastically reduced. Open to serious offers of interest. Selling due to 2nd child, and change in work circumstances means i now need 4 doors, and a station-runner. Was used as ‘touring car’ with friends, and weekend car shows with wife + child. I have owned the car for just over 2 years and done approx. 23,000 miles on the car. It isn’t used for work or commuting, so these are all ‘memory miles’. (Lots of photos). This car has been to 11 different countries in my ownership. Kept in garage overnight. Service + MOT: recently completed. Service was £2,000 as it was a major one, included 2x new rear tyres on the rear, battery just replaced too. So peace of mind that is covered. Exterior Condition: Very Good. A few expected stone chip marks on the front, and also the known area by the arch flares. No scratches or dents. Interior Condition: Very good. Comes with the Red Interior pack, and the 2x rear seats. This car has had a child in the back for many miles, so the rear of the drivers seat has some scuff marks. But only seen with seat down or sitting in the rear. Engine Condition: Great. Service just carried out, with compression test too. (by Major Lotus garage). All the usual goodies for this model – rear parking sensors, heated seats, cruise control, CarPlay, etc. Modifications(2): Suspension is Nitron adjustable shocks and springs. (I can supply the ride height, rake, and spring rates used). And has been corner balanced. All done professionally and with invoices. All fully adjustable and can be changed by new owner if too soft, too stiff, too low or too high. Exhaust manifold and Sports cat: Made to order by 2ubular, it is the larger(correct) bore for the 400 model. And sports cat. Passed MOTs without issue. Backbox exhaust is still OEM, so retains the manual & automatic valving for quiet motorway use and loud when needed. I am based near Boston (PE20 postcode), and I work from home so can be quite flexible for viewings. £35,000
  14. I’m tempted and I’ve only had my S a few months 😂.
  15. If anyone is looking for a cheap 400 the owner of this car is looking for £35k as needs to sell it. He's been trying for a while and just mentioned that he has reduced the price. Car has done 60k miles and recently had big service done, 2x new rear tyres and new battery. Looks like a good buy for someone
