  3. Cheers it has V8 seats & Air con, Lotus tell me 9th from last 4 pot!
  4. Hi Chris No it was not the Blue one, Sportomotive purely did the work. Mine is red I believe it is the red GT3 in the Lotus Esprit World calender for this year(from what I can see in the advert).
  5. Hi all I dont often post but have had a good experience with Sportomotive that I felt deserved a mention. Back in August I changed from my 89 n/a that I had owned for 7 years to a 99 GT3. I knew the GT3 had a small oil leak but having lived with an Esprit knew a few drips was often part of it. Anyway after a couple weeks it appeared to be getting worse and noticed a drive shaft seal weaping and thought thats it. So I booked it in with Sportomotive and kicked around Salisbury for a couple hours while the work was to be done. On returning Cos explained he hadnt touched the car as yes the drive seal was weaping but the main leak was the main rear seal needing gearbox off etc! Anyway after negotiating with the dealer I bought the car from he agreed to a contribution to the repair. I booked the car back in with Sportomotive, 10 hours labour new seals and clutch job done. I had a couple months and no problems then on returning home after a run smelt a whiff of gbox oil and looking under the car it was running out again! After that horrible Esprits not well feeling phoned Dave at sportomotive who couldnt of been more helpfull. They took the car back stripped it again and rechecked. Dave actually found a bearing had more float than it should of and replaced possibly overlooked the first time. For the second lot of work they didnt ask for any payment, I offered to pay for the bearing but declined. This was my first experience of Dave & Cos, while ok something may of been overlooked on the first visit the way the problem was handled after was excellent. I guess most of us would accept that often with these cars not every bit of work goes to plan but its reassuring when someone takes responsility and shows a keen interest to rectify the problem. Picked the car up today and appears to be in good health.

The GT3 is mine! Great day good to see other esprits there.
  7. Brian, Had the same issue with my near side hub carrier, this item is seriously rare in the end PNM Engineering were able to repair it it cost around
  8. Had the same problem with my brakes, thought it was the pads sticking removed cleaned, greased and it locked on again. The cure i found was to remove the pads and exercise the calipers. Pump the brake pedel a few times to push the pistons out and then push them back again and repeat a few times. seems to have done the trick for me.
