I seem to have an issue with the door seals on my Elise S3 220 windows. The window to seal contact appears pretty poor. Water enters the car when washing down the windows (leading edge) and even at times when driving in heavy rain at motorway speeds. Wind noise is also and issue. I was comparing the seal contact on another 220 the other day and I could see the rubber was visibly in contact with the window whereas mine doesn't seem to be. Is this normal for a Lotus and I have to live with it or a 'build' issue that needs adjustment?

Left foot rest...... push bracket?

Thanks That looks very neat. I ended up making my own using a 50mm alloy box section in a very similar fashion to the link you sent. Mine doesn't look as good but it works perfectly๐ https://imgur.com/a/ovtET3Y -
Agreed. There is no escaping his ability. He would be a much more plausible role model if he was more personable and able to discuss more mundane topics with a degree of humour. The points he is vocal on are quite polarised and because of his lifestyle/sponsorship leaves him open to easy challenge which he doesn't appear to recognise.

Lotus Appoints New Dealer for Scotland
Toeside replied to Bibs's topic in UK - LEGS (Lotus Enthusiast Group Scotland)
That's great news and Hamilton is much more central than previous mentioned locations. Still have my recall work to get done so will book in shortly. On a another update David Hayton are moving their Lotus servicing away from Carlisle to Penrith. Received an Email this morning. -
Update from Hayton Carlisle is that warranty work will still not be available for Lotus for some time. They are trying to book me in for the fuel rack recall on the S3 Elise at their Penrith branch (Toyota I am guessing). Sounds likely that they don't have a trained tech or facility operating post Covid.

Further reply Thank you for the email, we are sorry you feel itโs necessary to contact again on this topic. Unfortunately the demise of Leven Lotus and then Covid-19 restrictions along with lockdown has left a lot of our customers in an unfortunate position with Recalls, Warranty repairs and general servicing and maintenance at our Dealers. Rest assured we are doing everything we can behind the scenes to assist our Dealers with reopening, whilst talks are progressing forward with Parks Motor Group. Unfortunately I cannot comment on the proposed location for the Parks Motor Group Lotus Dealer, as this is still in discussion with the Network Development Team. Yet we thank you for taking for taking an interest in our business model and our proposed Dealer locations. Once Parks Motor Group are fully operational, our customers in Scotland will be able to use the Dealer for their Lotus Servicing and Warranty requirements. Until such time this happens, the nearest Dealer is currently David Hayton in Carlisle. I have contacted the operational manager at David Hayton and I can confirm they planning to safely reopen their operation with a Lotus Technician scheduled on a rota to assist Lotus customers with their needs, although the date is to be confirmed. In the meantime should you need any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us by return.

In total agreement. What is the business model for that an why did Lotus say that would be a great location for selling the brand. Words fail me ๐ Hayton Carlisle still not reopened ๐ค However I got through to their Penrith dealership Branch and they can do the Fuel rack warranty job if any one is looking to get it carried out as I am.

Unfortunately I was correct .................... world changing event ................. all trans American flights binned all Europe flights binned. Stock up and keep your vehicles brimmed with fuel. ........... fill your bath with water (clean it first)

My opinion has changed on the situation also. Having cancelled travel for this weekend to Geneva (Originally I was going the car show but that got cancelled a few weeks ago) I was very skeptical about the whole situation and thought it was a storm in a teacup. The situation in Italy is very bad (reports from a friend). They don't have sufficient ventilators to keep everyone (old and sick)who is affected alive so 'choices' are having to be made. There isn't any immunity at present and there isn't a vaccine as yet. The self isolate for two weeks being enforced by employers on their staff. This will impact on all aspects of normal life, transport of food and fuel, communication, power distribution etc Two young members of staff (mid 20's) testing positive at my place of work today. Right in my own back yard as it were. The length of time this situation will prevail impacting on our day to day lives, holidays. I think we can forget about travelling for a while. Ultimately this will put not only lives at risk, a significant addition in parallel to normal Flu deaths but will but impact. jobs and economic stability. Its already started on that front. So having been on the flippant side I am now really concerned on how this situation will all pan out. I think this could be a world changing event ๐ฌ but I could be wrong ๐ค
