  1. I do automotive photography, these are just funny impromptu snaps while I was out photographing the car and people came up to say hello and look at it.
  2. So, after an 18 month hiatus, I’m exceedingly pleased to say that I have returned to the Sport 410 Club! I left to try the Porsche Cayman world in 2022 as a more cost effective alternative at the time, gave it a fair shake for over a year, but having lived with a Sport 410 prior, I found that Porsche experience comparatively subdued and uninspiring. Gone were the incessant urges to get up and grab the keys for an impromptu spin, the feverish excitement of an approaching tunnel, the buzz from just sitting in traffic, knowing that you are at the command of one of the finest road-going creations on the planet. Certain Porsche models can of course deliver on some of these aspects, but even as an occupant of a 991 GT3 Touring, I thought; its impressive, but missing something. I can say that the Cayman was a very good car that ticked all of the right sports car boxes as it went about its business, but it inevitably skips many of those “Wrong Boxes” that pander to: “The Inner Lunatic”. Is it wrong to sacrifice visibility to have light-weight carbon fibre rear quarter windows? > Yes, but who cares about what’s behind you anyway! Is it wrong to have to turn a key and push a start button? > Yes, but how “McLaren F1” is that! Is it wrong to have a factory exhaust system so loud that Heathrow tells you to keep it down? 🙉 > Definitely yes, but I can’t live without it! Is it wrong to have a mono-wiper? > No! That’s always the right choice! These are the kind of thrills that I’ve always aspired to experience in a car, The Sport 410 feels like a modern interpretation of a car built in the early 2000’s, which was my favourite automotive era. Where I spent most days fawning over F430s, Superleggeras, Ford GTs and Carrera GTs sliding around the Top Gear test track. The Sport 410 incredibly delivers a comparable experience without the unimaginable financial barriers to entry. Also…close the valve, turn up the heating, switch on the Apple CarPlay, and enable the cruise control and it turns into a fast, efficient and compliant long distance tourer, which many of those mentioned above cannot do. And what a car to come back to, the 2nd of the 2 UK Grand Prix Edition cars. Car #3 of 18 produced worldwide. Undervalued in my opinion for what it is, but I’ll take that as my gain. I’m incredibly impressed with the design, as it does a great job of celebrating Team Lotus’ 13 Formula 1 World titles, while still being a cohesive and attractive JPS rendition inside and out. Harking back as well to the 1978 S2 Esprit World Championship Commemorative Edition. I’m also a big aviation buff, so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to nab a "Grand Prix" plate reminiscent to the Registration on Colin’s Black and Gold Cessna 414 Chancellor: “G-PRIX”. It’s safe to say this blinged-up, carbon-clad, so and so doesnt quite fly under the proverbial radar (pun intended) 😄. The “Puff Daddy”, “Liberace” comparisons from my pals are already inbound as we speak 😄, fortunately it sounds and performs like a Rockstar to match the looks! Special thanks to my good friend @jep who introduced me to the Lotus world many years ago with his brilliant 340R no less. The bug has definitely bitten! Though I have had to invest in some extra locking wheel nuts as I don’t quite trust him around these Gold Spinners 😅. Avanti.
  3. Thanks, yes I had a look at these but I just wanted to check whether there were any members who might have a pair as well.
  4. Hi, I’m hoping to find a pair of Black OEM Sparco seats (akin to those found in the Evora 400). I did see a pair online for sale at a retailer, but wondered if any members might have some that they were planning to sell on. I’ve attached an image as an example of the desired seat. Thanks, AD.
  5. One can say that the seats aren't to their personal preference, but to class them as "wrong" is strange, but a troll attempt I imagine. I love the original seats, they are one of my favourite things about the car and they add to the occasion of driving it, every other Evora seat feels much too high to me in comparison now, but that's my personal opinion. A good example of why you should try things for yourself, and not always follow opinions.
  6. Hi, I’d like to join the list if still available. Thanks.
  7. History and Art in motion. With all the other RHD Pre-Prod cars now in the "Big Garage in the Sky" (RIP)...I'm going to have to help you take care of this one! Tis now the "Mon-Elisa".
  8. Haha no, but it might be safe to say that Emira and Evija likely wouldn't exist it if wasn't for the specific car collected by @jep
  9. During a brilliant day trip up to "Mecca" (Hethel) with @jep to collect something *very* special, while rolling through New Buckenham in the Sport 410, exhaust echoing off of the walls as usual. We approached a family with 3 young boys, upon seeing the car approaching one boy immediately started pointing at the Lotus Logo on his new Norwich FC football shirt while shouting "Lotus! Lotus!". An impromptu mini-rev seemed appropriate 😄 If it can create brand recognition and an emotional attachment to Lotus for someone that young, "me thinks" the shirt sponsorship/marketing is doing its job!
  10. New Inductee into the Sport 410 Group. My first Lotus, but I've been well versed into the ACBC ethos by my friend @jep. Who made my introduction to Lotuses with a 340R no less! Hooked ever since. Safe to say, in the 2-3 weeks that I've been in ownership of this Ultra Violet beauty I can fill an entire page of the "People's Reaction to your Evora" thread by myself, including a little one who dropped his ice cream in shear excitement as it came around the corner at Windsor castle this weekend. I really should have offered to buy him a new one.....next time. The noise..........words cant explain, and the Carbon Buckets are ace once tilted! Safe to say I'm over the moon with the acquisition. Few photos and a tasty departure video clip from the PetrolHeads show. The Noble did ok, the 410 stole the show.. RPReplay_Final1622413648.mov RPReplay_Final1622413648.mov
  11. Thanks, I’ve landed the Ultra Violet 410
  12. Hi, what method did you use to remove the Stripes? Is it just a hair dryer job or did it get more complicated?
  13. Apologies, I missed the notifications for these post. Yes as JP said all sorted. Thanks to everyone for your kind help and feedback. Regards AD.
