  1. You know, I hadn't thought about that. They never asked me once why I wasn't planning to part with £85,000 any more. How awful is that? Again though, the person I spoke to had zero understanding of what the process was and then I was only dealt with by email (refund now on the way). Had I rang Jamie at B&C to cancel I'm 100% sure he would have done his best to at least listen to my issues and then see if there was anything he could do. Lotus don't seem to care about retaining business which is going to hurt them, if it isn't already. The only job of the first sale is to get the next one and they're failing to even start that off. Moronic. My advice is to buy used stock from current dealers and keep them going.
  2. They gave me the same speech about not being able to find it and I replied again to my own message and amazingly it appeared to them. I'm not in the queue to get mine back as well so I'll race you. Maybe this is Colin's way of making me buy an Exige instead. Good luck with the refund and whatever you get next.
  3. I was told they aim for 14 days. Utter bullshit. It's 14 days to pull their thumbs out. Meanwhile, they just emailed me asking if I wanted to cancel an Emira or Eletre. Well, the subject was "Emira cancellation" and the email body had references and receipt numbers for the order but don't let that worry you! 🙄 Never again.
  4. I guess they're trying to get under the 1000 cars a year to keep making V6s and the EU happy.
  5. Spoke to customer services about the deposit and they have really no idea. I'm told emails come in and seem to then be distributed out to be addressed and nothing can be done until they get back to me on email. The person I spoke to was fine but they're a total shambles and just aren't set up for responding to what seems to be a lot of cancelations. Piss poor service, so add that to the list of issues.
  6. Pretty poor really. I have my deposit in and was about to book a test drive with Silverstone (hadn't been offered one nor had been told how to book one before messaging Lotus CS, but that's another story) but this has taken the shine off it so I'll be calling to ask for my deposit back. They've shafted the dealers with their new sales model and now they're doing it to their customers with messaging like this. Such a shame.
  7. Hi all, Thought someone might appreciate a heads up that my 2020 Elise 220 Sport is being collected by B&C today. It's in perfect condition, a frankly awesome colour and has been wonderful and faultless since I bought it in June two years ago. I did the last special journey in it back in September so my time with it is complete. Jamie is dealing with it so if you're in the market there likely won't be many better. PPF on the front, synthetic protection all over - refreshed in July - and I've given him the indoor car cover as well. Not sure what I'm getting next but like most I'm cursing not putting an Emira deposit down.
  8. Had they skipped the Emira would any of you have moved to an EV 2 seater assuming it was available to order this year?
  9. They didn't do themselves many favours framing this as the 131 launch.
  10. Agreed. Looked like a DVD marketing brochure. Almost begging twice for partnerships on the new electric platform like they are with Alpine was disappointing and throughout the whole thing the tone wasn't showing any strength at all. Such a shame and frankly if they didn't have the Emira they'd be selling even fewer cars than last year. I suspect the sweetest decisions for current owners is to keep what they have or move to the latest non-131 models as they'll all treat us well forever. Maybe the Evora FE will be the sweetest swan song, who knows. Or maybe everything will be great and electric sports cars with GTR weight will be fine. And the Emira will be the last car built in the UK according to Pistonheads. That stings.
  11. On the bright side, used Lotus values just went up in the last 35 minutes. "Targeted marketing" "AI" "Machine learning" 80 points. Well done.
  12. Wank. Turning it off. Not even saying what the engines will be. Feel properly duped.
  13. Lots of "not showing the car today" feelings 😕
  14. Website isn't working for me. 502 error 😕
