  1. Yes it is utter chaos just trying to get the deposit back just imagine the hassle in resolving an issue with the car. Will post when it is received.
  2. Spoke to customer service regarding deposit return who said it would take at least a month but couldn’t give me a date - sounds all too familiar !
  3. Yes promise broken my deposit has been down 18 months. They haven’t even updated their records to show that I cancelled the order at the end of last week over concerns regarding build quality. Complete shambles.
  4. I had a deposit down for 18 months build June 23 delivery July
  5. Just had an email from Lotus advising of price increase to £82,000 from July and it applies to existing orders. Glad I cancelled last week
  6. I cancelled my order 2 days ago and didn’t even get an acknowledgment which confirmed I had done the right thing.
  7. After 18 months I have just cancelled following the growing number of issues being reported
  8. Totally agree. This is one of the saddest decisions that I have had to make. I had a factory tour and a taste of Lotus on track at Hethel as well as a test drive which all endeared me to the brand and it’s history and what it represents. I simply can’t take the risk of buying a car which based on current feedback is not being built to a standard that I would be happy with. If I was one of the unlucky ones I am miles from a dealer so would face great inconvenience if things went wrong.
  9. I cancelled my order for the Emira today and this further confirms it was the correct decision.
  10. Following further reports of significant problems on recently delivered cars I have just cancelled my order after an 18 month wait. I simply cannot face the risk of owning an unreliable car 90 minutes drive from the nearest dealership. I have lost faith in every step of the process and will now hang onto my F TYPE that hasn’t missed a beat in over 3 years. I hope everyone has enjoyment from their Emira which looks stunning.
  11. Lots of faults showing on those that have the car so I am now quite relaxed about delivery in the hope that ours will be more reliable
  12. For £80,000 we should all be offered a reasonable level of quality and reliability but early feedback is now casting some doubt over whether we are going to get it. All credit to the design and engineering team for creating a stunning car which I have driven on track and on the road. The current problems appear to be on the production line with either unreliable components or quality control/training which can in theory be resolved. I am down for a May build so will continue to monitor feedback from ongoing deliveries but will reluctantly cancel if things don’t improve.
  13. In credit by around £1,500 and direct debit at £386 so it should even out. The house is occupied 24/7 and we are also running a hot tub so higher than average consumption unfortunately for me. 😓
  14. We have a 5 bed detached and have averaged £25 per day for gas and electric combined in December.
