  1. Moto Services are limiting the grid capacity to Gridserve as they are rolling out their own Applegreen chargers Extra Services are limiting the grid capacity to Gridserve as they have a contractual arrangement with Ionity So the best you will see on any of these sites is circa 50kW, but even lower in dual charging mode.
  2. From what I can gather the backend cloud servers during this are offline. It seems to happen more in the morning UK time (which I presume is relating to overnight time in China, where I am guessing they are located). A little while later they return. If you have uploaded a picture to your profile (via the mobile app) it will also appear in the car. If your picture has gone, you will know they are offline.
  3. 100% However, this is why I like Kempower chargers (Osprey, Sainsbury, MER etc are all using them) as they use load balance using multiple 25kW modules to move the power to where it's needed. It makes better use of available site grid capacity along with a battery buffer. I was lucky enough to be an invited guest to their UK launch in Wolverhampton with Osprey.
  4. I've not tried Gridserve yet, but I've used a couple of BP Pulse 175kW units and was pulling in excess of 150kW from them right up to around 65% and well over 120kW up to circa 80%. The charging curve seems fairly decent. I've noticed and sudden drop a couple of times, which will be the battery management system doing funky stuff, but within a minute, its back up to high speeds. Now the reason I mention BP Pulse, is on these units and the ones Gridserve are mainly using, they have both opted for ABB chargers, so the experience should be similar. Gridserve are very active on their socials, so I would reach out to them and see if they can review the charge session data. Also for anyone reading, consider and take on board, that if you were on a Gridserve charger (but a former Ecotricity site)...ie: a lot of the moto service stations, their charges are limited to 50kW under location contracts, as moto services are rolling out their own network and also any sites with Ionity on, they have a contractual issue too, again limiting to 50kW. Other service station groups are fine.
  5. As I understand it, that relates to RFID cards from the various partner networks, but I think in the meantime, most people will end up just reverting to contactless for ease of use. For example I've not bothered with an RFID or apps for at least 3 years and I think the path of least resistance will end up being the choice of many.
  6. Within the UK, all public chargers over 8kW, will have to offer contactless by the end of 2024. Likewise, charger data (ie: availability - in use, offline, available) also has to be open and public by the same time period (so cars and apps can integrate). Prices also have to be clear before a charge is even started and also contained within Open data (ie: see prices in cars).
  7. Just checked in car and on mobile app. No new updates being detected for UK. However, got to be honest, other than the Hyper Music (listed in link), I'm pretty sure the 1.0.0C (as we have in the UK) already includes everything. I'm therefore starting to question the numbering being used.
  8. Hardly Hypothetical. Level 4 driving sits just around the corner, therefore Lotus believe LiDAR sits best to achieve this.
  9. I must admit, I do like that colour.
  10. I actually hope drops by drones, other than very remote locations, does not become a thing. The last thing I want, like I believe a lot of people, is the skies full of them. A bit of peace and quiet sat in your garden, then a drop at neighbours...I can't see it being long before people get annoyed and take matters into their own hands (lawfully or otherwise).
  11. I think this thread went off a journey, rather than really picking up on my main point. It appears if you're within the UK, you can't actually register the supplied card they have sent in the post. From what I can gather, they are using Bosch backend systems, which are expecting the "county" to be filled in. Only problem is, the county can't be supplied as it's a missing field. Selecting another country, then the form fails of postcode validation as they are using regex checks. I swear Lotus don't check things before they send stuff out. It's not the first time comms is sent out, but not aligned with reality.
  12. So out of the blue, I get a Lotus Charging Card, that advises me to go to the Lotus App and register my card and link it to the Lotus app/my account, so I can use it at 500000 chargers across the UK and EU. However, as anyone in the UK managed to complete the application in the app? For me, the Register button never lights up.
  13. This might be daft question, but does anyone know how to display the Odometer information? Can't find anything in the user manuals (but searching them is hit and miss anyway) At the moment I can't seem to work out how to display how many miles the car has driven so far.
  14. I take it back, it does seem like bass and treble in now present since this morning. I can actually feel the speakers in the door by my feet. Bibs, has there been any word of a software drop at all? Car still says it's on 1.0.0C
  15. Can't say I have to be honest. Your question has therefore made me raise an eyebrow or two? I have noticed driving through town that the DAB source, sort of went into into 2 stages...normal output with a lower volume and then louder (almost like a weaker DAB feed) which did seem to start a few days ago...hmmm
  16. I think it depends when you original placed your order, however, some changes to the features appear to have happened, certainly within EU markets. Base models lost some features and S and R seemed to gain a couple of features that were extras, but appear to have comes with cars. A base Eletre does not get Premium Ambient Lighting (as shown today) this only comes with the S and R models.
  17. Just a quick bit of advice, I'm noticing on the Eletre, that within the designed air intakes, the car is sucking in small stones that end up sitting within the intakes (front) and (rear). Any recommend tools to remove these as I don't want to damage paintwork. At present I've been using a watering can, to sort wash them back out the way they came, but not sure if this is right approach.
  18. Phone customer services (see if you can speak to Georgio), as they did that for me over the phone, a few days before my car was handed over.
  19. Have you registered with the same email address that your placed your Lotus order via?
  20. It depends on the car Choppa, but my previous Jaguar I-Pace, as soon as you took your foot off and the car slowed (ie: 5 MPH drop) so roughly within 1 sec, the break lights would come on and stay on, until you sped up or the speed evened out. I'm seeing similar with the Lotus Eletre. So if done, even with one pedal driving, the experience can mirror driving similar to ICE setups.
  21. From my past experience with the UK team, it really does depend on who you speak to. I take my car delivery as an example, in the space of 1 week, I spoke to 3 people...one told me it was yet to built, one told me it was on the water and one told me it was a few days from arriving in the UK (it was the last one is reality)....either that was the fastest build ever or they don't have consistent comms. Lotus comms, for me anyway, has been poor throughout and in many respects remains so. It would have been nice by now for a follow up customer call, from either HQ or dealer, to ask how things are...comments, feedback (as both Mercedes and Jaguar did with my past purchases).
  22. That's what I figured. Hopefully that can be improved upon. I see no reason why not.
  23. Here's a question..possible test. If you get back to your car and can't get into the doors, will the intelligent drive option from the app, just work to pull the car out?
  24. That's why I never used it on the Mercedes lol. In the end I was like...right I'll just find a parking space where no one else is parked (ie: top floor of multistory car parks lol)
