  1. Think I paid around £60 for a Halfords battery 2 years ago and it's been fine so far, nothing special, though I use the car most days which probably helps a lot.
  2. The globe refracted in a single drop of water.
  3. I agree. Very nice guy, extremely knowledgeable but he doesn't do himself any favours by promising people stuff and not delivering. I was talking to him about replacement brake parts that he said he was developing, that was a year ago..... in the end I ended up doing it myself with Geoff from Esprit Engineering, If I'd waited for Pete I'd still hve a car I couldn't drive today. Again a nice guy, but he won't be my first port of call in the future....
  4. Luke I'm confused... $250/month rental garage for 8 years = $24000 even so $32K buy 8 years $43K total = $11K over 8 years $1375 per year bloody bargain I'd say. or have you spent $43K in the last eight years? on top of the $32K buy price.? I spent £3000 + last year alone which is around $4800 of your US dollars In other words, don't worry about it, enjoy it and just be safe in the knowledge that it's only money and you can't take it with you.

  6. There's an advert on the Discovery channel at the moment where one of these scientisty type guys says.... "In a millionth of a millionth of a millionth of a millionth of a millionth of a millionth of a second it went from being smaller than an atom to the size of a galaxy" So that means the "bits" had to travel much much faster than light to get from point A to being spread out to the size of a galaxy ??? Work that one out.... It's making my head shake from side to side..... in other words "My Head Hertz"
  7. I sold a pair of Dellorto 45's in need of re-furbish on eBay a couple of months ago for £260 to some guy in Sweden, so at the current bid price of £218 it's worth it just for the carbs
  8. Nice! that looks like new, doesn't appear to be a mark on it (except when you're playing it of course )
  9. Update eBay and wine....... Torn between - "It was a good idea, just look at that" and "Did I really need another one" Then again, for the price of an 'A' service or two front tyres.
  10. The V's are Fernandes "Steelers" the blue one is a one off, they only made black, white and red as production colours and "one" in blue The black and white ones were the workhorses, black ones got a chunk taken out of the lower v section and the white ones actually had the headstock snapped clean off, but repaired and as good as ever. I actually can't believe how good the Vintage is, it's no Gibson, but for the money it's daft.
  11. Got a new toy Already bought stuff to change the cream bits to chrome and some higher output pickups managed to get for a silly price and it's a brilliant bit of kit. The brood so far
  12. Happy Birthday Laura. Can't believe no ones posted a picture of a hunky dude for you so here you are.
  13. Hi Emlyn Afraid at the moment it's nowhere to be seen, it'll probably turn up at some point so I wouldn't wait around for me. Sorry!
  14. I might have my old one lying around, which you can have if I can find it. I'll have a hunt tomorrow.
  15. I don't know, I would think Aston would have something to say about someone trying to sell a guitar for £6,000 with their name emblazoned all over it, so would assume that who ever makes it has either their blessing or is expecting a lawsuit any time soon. It's also got 003 on the neck, third one made?, so who's going to get 007 then
  16. I like the way it's listed as "Complete restoration to original specification in 1990," 1990 was 22 years ago my 1995 car could do with some restoration now and that's 5 years younger If it was restored a couple of years ago then maybe the price would be OK.. I don't know, I'm not really into 7's but £34 grand seems a lot.
  17. Wow ! this things going to be better than when it left the factory. Someone's got a lot of cheques left in their cheque book
  18. http://worldguitars.co.uk/vantage-guitar/ Wonder what a carbon fibre guitar actually sounds like!
  19. Here's "Cat" or she's more commonly known as "OY! get off that"
