  1. I'm guessng it's someone over here on holiday, rather than a bought to re-register, so you may yet be the first Jersey owner. Looks great in real life, a lot "meaner" than photo's suggest. Couldn't believe the local sales guys when I was asking them about Evora's. Peter that deals with Lotus parts there is a great guy though.
  2. Gunmetal grey. KX plate. 1st one I've ever seen on the road. The Lotus dealer in Jersey doesn't even know if they can sell them!!

  4. Here's the old bracket I took out. The two holes on the right of the picture are where a couple of bolts attach by the gearknob & there are a couple of bolts which attach to the dash (left of picture). They were quite easy to get to & undo, but i would guess it would be easier to modify your bracket, once it's out, if you intend to keep the radio in there, rather than make one from scratch, which is what I did. I'm sure I've seen some pictures in a thread somewhere on here from someone who's done exactly what you're after.
  5. I've got the od bracket somewhere. I'll see if I can dig it out tomorrow & take a photo for you. My heater controls were already at the bottom of the centre console, but I needed to move them dow further. Aren't yours more in the middle with a cubby hole or somthing at the bottom?
  6. Served it's pupose at the time, but I really need to get some perspex to go in there with the right signs & stuff on it. Maybe I'll get round to it this summer. To get the screen in I actually took out the whole radio mounting bracket & febricated & a new mini bracket for the controls out of plastic! Weighs nothing, I'm sure Colin Chapman would have approved of the principle. Have you got a radio you're keeping in there?
  7. Moved mine down to fit a screen in. Is this the sort of thing you're meaning?

The Mclaren appears to have a Mercedes logo on the nose where the Renault has a Lotus logo.

Agreed. If I didn't know any better, I'd probably assume the reason why Petrov has done so much better in qualifying than last year, is because Lotus have helped out with some technical aspects of the car, hence the name on the wing. Bit dissapointed in the Team Lotus places though, I was expecting better considering the new engine/gearbox & develpoment time they've had this year as opposed to last.
  10. Happy Birthday. Have fun!

I always thought Mika Hakkinen had a good sense of humour. I know on every weekend teams are limted by the number of sets of tyres they have, but are they limited to the number of laps they're allowed to run in the practice sessions? It seems a number of teams haven't done many. I'd have thought with any new car/track combination teams should be out testing setup's as much as they can.
  12. I think for the style that's being aimed for, it's a good job. A lot of the mods have been blended well with the original bodywork. Would I do it to mine - NO!
  13. Terrible sight to see, but as others have said the important thing is you're ok - could have been worse Hope the repairs do get done - be a shame for another one to go as parts.

  15. Welcome. Expertise & madness seem to abound in equal measures here!
  16. I reckon it's one those magazine cars built up week by week.
  17. Without looking back through the thread - isn't it this week that the second round starts?
  18. It's an option, if you want it & didn't know about it.
  19. Prompted by comments about ipads. Not sure if anyone is aware but Sophos brought out a FREE version of their anti-virus software for all Mac users running OSX 10.4 (Tiger), 10.5 (Leopard) or 10.6 (Snow Leopard) on Intel or PowerPC chips. It can be downloded from their website, here Clicky I use their products for windows. They're not cheap, but seem to be effective, I'm sure this will be good too. They claim they're never going to charge for it & will update it.
  20. My first contribution of the day.
  21. Just noticed they've changed. Works for me. All you need to do now is get people to use the "View New Content" button & perhaps they'll be persuaded to take part in some the other sections rather than just their own car. Makes it much easier see if there's something about your model, but you can see everything else that'sgoing on too.
  22. Although it's more work for Gordon, I'd prefer his format too. Will go with whatever is decided upon, although I suspect I'll forget to do pedictions if it's the automated system where we have to guess top ones for each race. I'l be too busy at work, or on holiday or something!
