    I am 52

So sorry to hear this, but at least you're home again, that's always a good sign. Thinking of you.
  2. There's a range of different sizes (7" - 16") available on the car builders site, & I don't have the radiator to check sizes at the moment. Anyone recall what size they used?
  3. Whilst the radiator's being re-cored & all the shrouds (broken in several places) are off, I thought I might as well replace the original fans with the slim Kenlow units & do away with the shroud. Has anybody done this? Got any photo's of the installation? I thought I remembered reading a post a couple of years back to do with the fitting kits wearing through the fins, but can't find it anywhere! Thanks
  4. Congrats to all. Another vote for Bibs' reminder system; if not for that I'd be much further down.
  5. I'm just about to get some adjustable AVO dampers from PNM. Don't know if they've got any for a GT3. http://www.pnmengineering.com/lotus-suspension.html
  6. If this is the result, we all need to buy tickets! http://youtu.be/OmcRA-cC-nk
  7. Whatever angle I've seen this from in the photo's; it just looks mean!

    RED2

Enjoyed the first one, I'm sure Red 2 will be fun as well; though so much better for having a Lotus in it.
  9. I'd get two estimates. Go somewhere more expensive first, then take that estimate to GST to make sure they can beat it. Then present both estimates to the third party, or their insurers. The quicker you act the less likely you are to have complications - Go now!!
  10. Thanks Mark, I doubt there'll be 5 people that will want that particular spec. Within "reasonable limits", I'd be prepared to buy on one off basis. Seems a shame to have the new manifold & then not follow through with a proportionally less restrictive exit path.
  11. Yep, its the water pump. SJ's have some reconditioned units & an overhaul kit, Anyone any experience as to which is best to go for? Thanks for the suggestions, I'm sure more things will come to light once the lump is out. Bulkhead bolts have been bugging me, but I'd probably have forgotten if you hadn't mentioned them!
  12. That's great. No requirement at all for a cat! Would be nice to have a silencer that allows maximum flow but (just) stays within legal requirements (for track days). There are no noise regulations in Jersey, but don't want to attract unnecessary attention! Only 1 minimal silencer, no cat adapter - half the cost?!!!!!!!
  13. Looks like the water pump's developed a leak. I've got the stainless steel manifold to fit; a couple of new alloy fuel tanks; change the belts & the clutch. Suggestions for anything else I should do whilst the engine's out?
  14. I'd be interested but would need a single exit & would rather have in 3", based on Dave's (changes) observations. Would that be possible? Neill
  15. Nothing like something to look forward to, to speed up the recovery process! I'll be surprised if it's a month before you're out for another drive!!
  16. Looks like we're all waiting with baited breath!
  17. Thanks to all - look superb in the photo. I'm sure they'll be well worth the wait.
  18. What have you made it from? Looks ace. What are the end fences designed to do? direct air in or out?
