  1. Hope you had a great one, mate!
  2. Brands Hatch GP circuit feels like a mini Nurburgring to me, but probably a no-go as they have sound limitations... If Lexus has an 8 speed auto box, I bet it's going be a heavy lump... Not sure if that is the way to go for Lotus. But then again a dual clutch semi gearbox, should probably be in Lotus' option list for the Exige, no?
  3. The euro 5 version is already a 3696cc engine... and called a 370z. I happen to know that, as someone in our street owns one. It drives quite well actually. But lacks the beauty of my Esprit, lacks the sound of my TVR V6...
  4. The guy in the Exige would benefit with some tutoring from "the Belgian Stig" ;-) That said, damn those guys are dare devils, I'm afraid I dont't have the courage to do anything nowhere near that...

    Belgian GP

Rosberg admitted he hit Hamilton on purpose... Rosberg said he wanted to make a point... So I think Hamilton is screwed, as apparently Rosberg can get away with everything. Rosberg threw away a 1-2 finish for Mercedes at Spa and it seems he still gets the apraisal from Wolff...
  6. +1 You're not alone Nedasay and I'm not saying this because they are doing bad this year. ;-) LOL that's accountants stuff... I don't think Kim became a poor man though... he just keeps his head cool I think. ;-) Let's hope he gets closer to Alonso soon.
  7. He didn't drove for them in 2013! And by the way Kimi's still waiting for his money...
  8. Guys, there is only one Esprit and that is the SE High Wing
  9. like a GT86 by Lotus... ;-) JMG is probably still filling up the financial pits that Bahar left... I don't expect big changes.
  10. Great pics thnx. It's a shame Honda does not provide Lotus F01 car owners with engines for the old F1 cars... They should be on the track as well. Such a beautiful car that 99T.
  11. There is a difference between famous and reputed, you know Former Team Lotus F1 driver Philippe Adams owns a Lotus... don't know if he's famous enough for this list though...
  12. A friend of mine has this mower, quite cool:
  13. Hate to read this m8 There should be some white smoke from the exhaust, at least that's what heppened to my Elise... even when the engine is hot you should see the white smoke, unless there is really no water in the tank of course. Sad The upside is, you can now put in injection and a V8 LOL
  14. they went to Paul Matty It's true almost all car parts are a lot cheaper in the UK
  15. The rear brakes are still original. I'm not tracking the car, so for now I'm not feeling a need to upgrade them, for now. I have ABS, as all High Wings I asume and that is still working, so I noticed
  16. I've read in Motorsport that the GP track is no longer, but there is still a smaller Club circuit a part of the original track. But this was at least ten years ago, I've read about it. I have no idea if all of the original GP track still exists.
  17. Hi Jacques, In Belgium it's also the same, we are not allowed to change anything or you will not pass the yearly MOT. That is why I did not choose Porsche GT3 or Aston Martin brakes, as I'm sure the MOT guys know the difference between Porsche, AM and Lotus. I choose brakes which are looking similar to the later S4/S4s/V8/GT3 brakes.

Nice plate! In Belgium you can buy any plate these days up to 8 characters long, for 1k euro A friend of mine has this one
  19. Happy to read you know so much about the genuine TEAM Lotus! Regarding the lap record, that reminds me of a Top Gear episode. If you have some spare time search for Top Gear Series 10 Episode 10, where Top Gears tests an M3, an RS4 and a C63 AMG against a Lotus 72. The BMW was 24 secs off. The Exige V6 is a much faster car and the Type 25 although it has the first monocoque, will be a bit slower than a 72. Your idea might not be too far off... Maybe you should write to Top Gear then the Exige V6 is finally in it Ps I'd have chosen the Senna victory at Portugal, if it should have been on the cards But then I became a Lotus fan through Senna, it's all his fault my garage is filled with England's finest.
  20. On my screen the title showed as OMG, I've just ordered an LF (the 1 fell off the screen) So I thought, damn someone just bought a Lexus LFA... while instead you bought a more beautiful Exige LF1, it's slower than an LFA though I reckon. The fact that you choose a Jim Clark victory makes it even more special. I hope you'll have it soon and have loads of fun with it.
  21. I recently added a pair or Brembo front calipers to my Esprit with 305mm brake discs my kit was custom made. I still have plenty of space left with my OZ futura wheels. You can have much bigger discs if you want to. Hispecbrakes offers complete kits: http://www.hispecbrake.co.uk
  22. 1 free beer from an Englishman, that makes a 370 miles round trip to the Ring all worth while Now the only thing I still need to have is an Exige V6 (cup) in order not to fall out of tune...
  23. Then it won't be the cars in Jonny's picture, as they are much wider than a normal Evora. Impossible to register that as a normal Evora. Almost as silly as to try to register an Elise GT1 as an Elise MK1.
  24. I know at least 1 Belgian who will be thirsty for Bitburgers too by then An official part of Belgium is German speaking, so that makes us half-German too, no? on topic, won't be easy to register the GTE for the road.
