  1. My amp and cd changer are in the boot between the rearlights. it is a nice place but cabling the whole setup will give you some "fun". I can send you some pictures next week if you like.
  2. If you need an alternater: Bosch AL49X Available from Rockauto (from memory $150), only need to turn the back (reposition) which is a matter of undoing 4 bolts, rotatate te rear and fitting the 4 bolts again. Check your injectors and wiring first for resistance.
  3. Error 65 relates to the primary (low impedance / peak and hold) injectors. The ECU measures the current when energizing the Injectors. After "sensing" that the Injectors are open (high current ) the current through the injectors is reduced to keep them open. The resistance of the primaries should be around 2.8 ohm each (from memory). Code 65 is thrown in when the opening current is not reached. Also the battery voltage has to be more than 9 volts and the fault has to excist for more than 20 sec. Did you/someone change your primay injectors? Check the resitance of each injector and also the wires. Clean all contacts. If the resistance in the injector circuit is too high than the ECU does not sense the opening (peak) current.
  4. New filler necks made from Titanium?? I really like the titanium stuff you have.
  5. Hi Bill Did JW also change the VE tables in the new code. ? The S4(s) and the SE have different VE tables.
  6. The A:F you see in Freescan or Espritmon is what the ECU wants / uses for calculations. It is not the actual A:F ratio.
  7. Make some new wiring between the sensor and the green plug.
  8. Have you checked the resistance across the two sensor wires? ie measuring across terminal 4 and 10 on the connector when the green connector is unplugged from the ECU. If it is shorted than the problem is in the wiring. Also measure the resistance between pin 4 of the connector and ground (engine). If low reading than also wiring problem. Measure with sensor disconnected and connected. Make sure that the ignition is off when (dis)connecting connectors on the ECM. Page 9 of EMH.4 The teflon tape is just for sealing. The groung wire on the chargecooler is for preventing a build up of static electricity.
  9. Just checked the "code" 09EB version. the code 25 will not be set if speed is below 15 mph. Freek
  10. Why not use espritmon? It is much better. If I remember correctly the conversions done by freescan for the baro and map sensor are not correct.
  11. Looks like oil temp sensor There is a nice picture on the forum of an engine with all the sensors nicely marked. Found it but don't know how to put a link in the post. Maybe an IE thing??
  12. Ths info, pins are fitted they already had a cone. Made a thick washer with a 7 mm hole and fitted the big pin into it and then into the arm/shaft. Had fun (problems) with removing the washer once the pin was partly into the arm/shaft but managed to do it. Small piece of wood between the arm and the washer and driving the pin in further.
  13. Hi, I have some proplems fitting the 2 roll pins which connect the operating finger and the selector cross shaft. If I'm right the sizes are 7 and 4 mm with a length of 25 mm. I Took it (rear housing of the gearbox) apart because of renewing the selector cross shaft seal which was leaking. Any tips or trics for fitting them?
  14. Use nordlock washers or when using the tabs prebend them a little before mounting.
  15. I'm thinking of installing stahlbus bleeders on my car www.stahlbus.de
  16. thx for the tip Sanj, fitted them with wellseal.
  17. thx Ian. BTW nice pilotboat your avatar.
  18. Any pro's or cons of using wellseal when fitting new shaftseals in the gearbox. Manual says use wellseal however the old ones I removed show absolutely no evidence of any sealingcompound.
  19. How can I select / set the gearbox in the neutral position whitout the translator being fitted. (subframe for the silencer and translator is not fitted) ? In what position does the selector cross shaft has to be in? Freek
  20. That part is already installed. I can measure it but that will take some time before i can do it. (no time to work on the car) Cheers, Freek
