  1. There's some connection via Geely/Volvo to Polestar so maybe someone traced over something in a meeting room..?
  2. I'm old enough to remember British Rail and the move to privatisation, Railtrack etc. Whilst I don't use the trains very often I'm not sure that, in my limited experience, they are much better than they were in the '70s in terms of reliability. My odd trips to London are often delayed or victim to some breakdown, overcrowding, signalling problem, slow train ahead or other random issue. Plus it's often cheaper to drive... Hard to see how an organisation with no competition would have much incentive to provide excellent service? Whilst I'm not knocking the NHS or it's frontline staff at all, isn't the NHS an example of how inefficient things can get when a big 'business' is run by government?
  3. As far as i’m aware the actual value doesn’t matter as long as all the air flows are balanced to the same level. IIRC correctly (it’s a while sine i last did mine) following the manual procedure you are only balancing one inlet per carb against the other. Then balancing one carb to the other. Hence the actual values don’t figure.
  4. Well, if you do decide to do Goodwood at some point, (shameless plug) our two places are only 15 minutes away from the circuit 🙂 www.airbnb.co.uk/h/the-hayloft-chidham and www.airbnb.co.uk/h/the-stables-chidham
  5. I've seen a few AI generated eBay listing descriptions recently. They're a bit easier to spot 🙄
  6. This is like a football thing, right?
  7. Meanwhile, on the other side the Conservatives want to bring back National Service (or a version of it). Presumably gambling that older folks will vote for it and turn out in greater numbers than youngsters on polling day. Not sure how many young voters in the catchment age will be voting for it...
  8. Sounds like you need someone with 4 car 'skates' to put under each wheel. Then you could tow it out and round to where it can be loaded onto a trailer/recovery truck. Most decent vehicle moving guys would have them.
  9. Copyrights and trademarks is a tricky business. I don't know much about it but when I worked for B&Q, who have an orange square as part of their logo, they had a legal agreement with Orange the phone company never to sell telephones. Presumably it worked both ways and Orange weren't allowed to sell 4x2 but I never asked...
  10. Ooh, I like the white one. Does it go underwater?
  11. Anyone else remember 'Day of the Triffids'? Maybe stay away from tall plants for a while... Thank me later 🏝️
