  1. Copy from posting in G car forum I made. http://wiki.seloc.org/a/Geo_Setups http://wiki.seloc.org/a/Geo_Alignment_Rig_(Home_Made) Edited following Bibs reply. The figures given are indeed for the elises / evora. It is not about the figures but the method of measuring / setting up of the geometry of the car. Further there is also an explanation for converting the toe "angle" in mm to degrees with a handy excel formula.

  3. Vanya you have a V8 coming your way ??? (Lucky / happy you)
  4. Viton is fuelproof, silcone isn't. Silicone fuelhoses have a fuel resistant liner on the inside. The gasket A082L6161F - Gasket Fuel Gauge Sender Unit is available in the TLF Shop.
  5. Did you check the wiring? Make a temporaly new loom just for the 2 & 3 injectors. A couple of injector connectors and some wires won't break the bank.
  6. Its indeed the alunox manifold. I was referring to where the manifold passes the "engine - clutch housing flange". The space between the manifold and the "flange" is only a couple of mm (I had to use a file to achieve some space). I know about the bolt, the one in the picture is only a temporary one.
  7. Yesterday when finishing up on the mounting on tof the gearbox in the car and hand tightening of the exhaust manifold i discoverd that there is only a few mm of clearance between the manifold and the "Clutch housing - Engine" flange. There is not enough space for mounting the bracket for the Turbo support strut. See the picture below. Maybe someone has a picture I can use for reference.
  8. The pressure cap has two concentric valves. The outer is for venting to the outside, the smaller one in the center opens inward when the coolant is being drawn back into the headertank and causing underpressure in the cooling system.
  9. Thx Travis for the info, I will use 41 Nm as used for the 2 bolts which go into the sump (= also cast aluminium).
  10. What is the tightening torque for the clutch housing to engine bolts? The only figure I could find in the manuals is 41 Nm for the 2 bolts which go into the sump.
  11. Glyn, thx for correction. I corrected my post, it now has the right name for NaOH.
  12. Use a Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH) solution, it will dissolve the aluminium but not the steel hose fittings. Take all safety precautions. I used a glass jar to put the solution and fittings in. Increasing the strenght of the solution and using warm water will speed up the process.
  13. No need to apologize Derek. I bought a box of 100 pcs M10 x 20 mm OD washers. They are not the standard ones but DIN 126. Freek
  14. Hi Derek, Are we lookinh at the same parts manual? Mine is the 1988 - 1992 one (paper version, I know i'm old school ☺️) (section 47.03B) Those are the washers listed under item 24 and are for the clutch housing to gearbox bolts 12 pcs in total. There are 11 bolts used for mounting the clutch housing to the engine. The only other item I could find which uses 11 bolts is the rearcover. I reckon the above mentioned washers are the same for use with the bolts for mouting the gearboxcombo to the engine. Freek
  15. Thx info, it makes sense but just wanted to be sure.
  16. Are there washers used on the bolts for mounting the clutch housing to the engine? The parts manual doesn't mention them. I forgot if they were present (and I can't find them in my boxes with parts) when I took the gearbox of the engine. There was one bolt (one of the 2 lowest ones) mounted with a washer and silicone kit (not by me !!!). All the bolts for mounting the clutch housing to the gearbox have washers according to the parts manual.
  17. Where is the leak on the gearbox? Maybe a picture.
  18. Did you try amazon? http://www.amazon.com/MSD-Ignition-8224-Blaster-Replacement/dp/B0006306XM/ref=sr_1_1?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1403479798&sr=1-1&keywords=Msd+8224
  19. For the partslist become a member of the forum and you can download the partslist for free. The partslist is full of exploded views. As for the other books I bought them from SJsportscars in the past but not for the prices you mentioned., on the other hand the manuals are worth more than their weight in gold.
  20. Can you still measure them up, or if not take measurements of the place were they are fitted and match them up to skf ones. SKF has a extensive catalogue on the www. NSK online catalague: http://www.nsk.com/services/onlinecatalog/ SKF roller bearings: http://www.skf.com/group/products/bearings-units-housings/roller-bearings/index.html
