Hi there,
I hear some noise from the diff at the rear of my car (Eclat S1). But I don't think its the diff itself. I believe it comes from the wrong/old mounting rubbers (diff side arm) and a missing "link channel".
In the Eclat/Elite manual I had a look into the Service Bulletin from 3.5.79 Number 1979/10 for the S1 and the number 1982/12 from 8th of July 1982 for the S2. These two Bulletins help to reduce "over-run and driveline vibrations"
I found out, that my car (its an S1) is missing that "link channel", the flat washer and doesn't have the new sort of rubber bushes on the car which are were necessary. I think thats the one part of the solution to problem I have....
But now the Service Bulletin for the S2 is introducing the "stepped diff studs" and a couple of bushes for "less noise vibration and harshness being transmitted from the suspension".
My questions are: is it possible to fit the "stepped diff stud" and bushes also onto my S1 and where can I get these studs? Did anybody do this upgrade on an S1 yet?
I think it must be possible somehow because the diff hasn't been changed at the S2, guess....
Please help!
