As we are all locked in and unable to attend events, would anyone be interested in regular 'virtual' meetings run over Zoom or similar? I'd suggest monthly to start with, initially as a meet & gre

As I said on the other forum, I would be interested in taking part.  Have had cyber pub meetings with friends and found Zoom worked better that Skype, i.e. better picture, seemed to use less bandwidth

Thanks mikeeech, USandretti42, Tony D and pete for joining earlier. Not a bad session although audio wasn't always great; I think it doesn't cope well if more than one person is speaking at a time and there's some delay and distortion. I enjoyed our chat.

I'll schedule a follow up meeting in about 2 weeks time.

Thanks for organising that, Richard.  It was good to be able to put some faces to usernames.  Shame we didn't get chance to take advantage of the first meeting's extra minutes but looking forwards to the next one.

One of the options when you schedule a meeting is 'Enable join before host.' We didn't need to try it last time so don't know if it works as you'd expect. You also need to switch Waiting Room off I think.
