Standard or two piece discs on an Elise

Just finishing my spec for my last Elise. Just wondered whether for 95% road use and very very occasional track the two piece brakes are considered necessary or the standard brakes are perfectly good enough?

I'm interested in knowing the answer to this too.

I believe the two-piece are a bit lighter but not sure if they improve braking performance and/or fade etc.

I have a Cup 250 on order (with standard brakes) and guess the brakes will be the same as what I had on my 220: they were adequate for the road (just), I never experienced fade but occasionally felt I may be at their limits on hairpin mountain roads (or maybe I was just driving too fast ☺️). If the two-piece brakes have noticeably improved stopping power then I may spec them too (I still have time to change spec)...
