Glove box removal? Or other ways to remove the imprint/nav/BT modules

In prep for a  new head unit, I'd like to remove the imprint module and any others in the dash.

There is a AI-net cable going to the imprint module, its about 3m too long and bundled up in the dash. 

Access really hard through the head unit hole. Beyond getting go-go-gadget arms, is there a way to access that lot?

Does the glovebox housing come out? Or some other way?

I did mine initially thought the hole in the dash where the head unit goes and then the usual lotus esq contortions under the passenger side dash.... However I didn't get it all out until I pulled the dash out to sort the airbag cover ...

On the 400, the glovebox came out pretty easily.  A few screws and bolts here and there and it went back fine too.  
 

I removed it because I was getting fed up of having to access the USB from there. I therefore ran an extension to the top of the centre console.

The first photo shows the “hole” after removing the glovebox (which you can see resting on the floor).  The second photo is self explanatory.
