VIN numbers exige

Dear all, I am looking to buy a Lotus Exige s2, registred on October 2006. The VIN numbers are sccpa111x7hd809YY, but the 7 should be referred to a 2007 model.... Could it be possible?

It's the Model Year which doesn't usually correspond to the year of manufacture, it's more often August or September of the year before.

A couple of things,check the driver seat rails aren't worn the seat should click into place with very little movement belive me makes a huge difference to the drive.

Also just check for star cracks in the gell coat around the rear clam incase somethings flown around in the boot.

Check under the front spliter usually there will be a few scrapes but as long as its not hammerd.

See if it's got an alloy radiator fitted if not then factor in for one as the plastic header ends split on the originals.

And just look underneath and check that all 3 naca ducts are there you should see on each cutout triangle there's tell tail plastic clips on the edge although not expensive to replace .

Other than that just the usuall car checks fluid levels etc and should be no play in the steering
