Driveshaft boot

Hello!

Attached vid shows the inside driveshaft Boot on my Evora IPS, this is leaking grease as one can see, the boot appears to be in good condition and the Oetiker clamp also seems tight even though the boot isn't itself tight against the joint housing (where the leak is) any words of wisdom welcome!

CV boots aren't designed to last forever. Changing the inner boots is relatively easy, and they are the same as the ones found in 2006-2009 Toyota Avalons (Beck/Arnley 103-2968 is a perfect fit if you need a reference). 

Don't use the included grease; get some Redline CV2 instead. I also didn't use the clamps it came with, and instead used Oetiker-style ones. 

Pulling the axle from the hub is the toughest part, and it'll make your life so much easier if you use a ~$50 hub puller (something like this). Make sure you apply some matchmarks on the driveshaft and the inner plunging joint body so that it goes back together the same way. 

Once apart, clean all the grease from the inner plunging joint and the spider. Take the circlip off the end of the spider, taking note of the embossed alignment marks on the spider and the end of the shaft (I think it was an "X" or triangle? Can't recall at the moment). Pull the spider off the end (mine only needed a light tap from a rubber mallet) and then slide the new boot over the end. Put the spider back on, matching the alignment marks, put a new circlip on the end of the shaft. 

Fill the boot with 180g of CV2 grease. Don't overfill it, otherwise it will fling excess out eventually. Place the axle loosely in the hub, route the driveshaft and spider towards the inboard plunging joint, and reinsert it, aligning matchmarks. Slide the boot down, and put the new clamp on.
