I drove the SE on track when it was first becoming available in America and found it impressively quick and stable though somewhat soft in terms of feedback in terms of turn-in, throttle and gearchange. My benchmarks, then and now, remain early Elan and Esprit so a high standard for sure. During a visit to Copenhagen a few years ago I spent a pleasant afternoon getting acquainted with @Jacques after which he treated me to a ride back to the hotel in his SE. I was impressed with how direct, perhaps even sudden, he'd tuned the Esprit to be. His chronicle of ownership here in TLF makes for interesting reading on these points.
