Now in its 5th successful year, the Esprit d’Aventure event will take place in France in September, between Thursday 19th to Sunday 22nd. This year it takes place in and around the area of Correze, and is organised by Hugues Bigot in association with ‘Club Lotus France’.

The format allows participants to choose either two or three nights in the hotel, and includes both cultural visits, navigational driving with your Esprit, and the experience of being with an enthusiastic group of other Esprit owners, who have come together for the event from all over Europe. Last year, there were 25 Esprit's of all models. This is an enjoyable event, highly recommended by yours truly, and there are usually about 5 British Esprit's in attendance.

To register your interest with no obligation, in the first instance e-mail Hugues at - [email protected]

Any other details will be in the France events section as and when received.

Have a good time Ian! I'll be following your reports and hope to join you on one of the next editions. 😉

I have made many mistakes in my life. Buying a multiple Lotus is not one of them.

Just got back. 1000 miles in 9 days driving through France and into Northern Spain

I've just read Fabian's report about an S3 N/A Esprit and how unreliable they can be. Well, maybe some, but definitely not all...

Mine's not been rebuilt, it's just been regularly serviced and honestly drove like a new car. Sat at 130km/h hour after hour on French/Spanish toll roads it was absolutely perfect. The public reaction was never anything less than utterly fantastic with people leaning out of cars to get photos, others jumping out of cars at traffic lights to get photos and funniest of all - a Bilbao port customs officer getting out of her box to take photo's despite more than an hour long queue behind me.

The 5th Esprit adventure was brilliantly organised and I'd really recommend it to any Esprit owner. Next year is a 'big one' with some 50 odd Esprit's expected to take part. Looking forward to reading Ian's report!

And we're back from another great event.

Report to follow!

It was great to meet you, @Chillidoggy, @Bazza 907 and all the others who were brave enough to cross the pond.

But, most important, Esprit Aventure 6 is slated to celebrate 50 years of Lotus Esprit in 2025. We need more of you to fullfil the goal of getting 50 Esprits together for that event.

Some more documentary evidence.
