Lotus Exige V6 Carbon Fibre Accessories

Where do Lotus source their carbon Fibre accessories from, does anyone know?

Also, has anyone bought any Carbon Fibre products for their Exige V6 from Komotec, Aerie or Eltech and could provide feedback on build quality, shipment and customer service please?

I am looking to purchase a few bits of bling and was wondering what peoples experiences have been.

Regards,

Steve

Do some searches on here and you'll find lots of examples.

I've bought from:

Ultimate Carbon - can be hard to get hold of, but the quality is excellent

Eltech - Great quality but can be a time consuming process to order and a lengthy wait at times.

GRP - Sometimes you need to wait as a stuff is created in "batches", so if they don't have it in stock, you need to wait for the next "batch". Quality good.

Sorry should have said, most of the "stock" Lotus carbon was done by ProDrive. Pure motorsport heritage and goodness.

I've bought several parts from Aerie.

I'm very happy with the side skirts. They look great on the car and the quality is nearly perfect. I've also bought their rear diffuser, which i then gave away to someone else for free (wasn't happy with the clear coat quality as it had visible specks in it, and the carbon weave is not a V shape). I've ended up ordering the OEM rear carbon diffuser.

With Aerie you get the carbon parts for a fraction of the OEM price, but there's certain things you need to keep in mind in my opinion:

- OEM parts are symetrical / form a V-shape with the carbon weave. This is not the case with many of the Aerie parts.
- They have some weird look in terms of reflections in the sunlight. It's not bad, but the OEM parts really show how perfect they are in direct sunlight (they shine in that regard... pun intended).

I'm currently waiting for the rear carbon aero blades from Aerie. Ordered them december 5th, received a digital image of a shipping label in whatsapp 20 days ago, still waiting for a (promised) tracking number, no more replies to my messages since two days... 😐

@lil_greenie Any chance of you getting a refund for the carbon diffuser finisher? I think Eltech's is herringbone/V-weave and is significantly cheaper. I think there's somebody in Australia we both follow on Instagram with a red Exige 410/420 has this. Maybe @GFWilliams is also using this part and can provide insight?

R.e. reflections, maybe some orange peel on the Aerie parts or the clearcoat is particularly thin.

I'm personally trying to determine if anybody does mirrored side intakes that don't require drilling into the clam (Alias23's require drilling into the clam like the OEM ones, but I don't want to make any irreversible changes).
