  1. I think you mean 700g? I've blindly assumed 1 litre of petrol = 1kg, but it's actually 720-775g. So 39 litres is pretty much 30kg, and it looks like the scale was accurate in that case.
  2. Sounds about right then! Time to lose 10kg myself, then throw out the passenger seat (gf gets sick in the car anyway as soon as I drive it spirited), delete the 4-point harness and bar, never listen to music in there anyway, so can live without the stereo... can't live without the AC anymore... getting old. LiPo battery is so expensive, but that would be the easiest 10-15kg to lose... hmmm... damn blinker fluid! 😄
  3. Today I've weighed my Exige Sport 410 at some local recycling center with their truck scale. Truck scales are supposed to be accurate by 0.2% (that's what google tells me). There was a label on the scale indicating "5 km/h", which I think means you should not exceed 5km/h when driving onto the scale, in order to keep the reading accurate. I'm quite sure i was within that limit. I've weighed the car twice, once with a nearly empty fuel tank, then filled her up and gave it another try. First try with a nearly empty tank: 1150kg (1220kg with me in the car, i'm roughly 70kg, so that part is accurate). Second try after filling up the tank with 39 litres of fuel: 1180kg (1250kg with me in the car)... so not accurate? It should have been 1190kg after adding 39 litres of fuel? How light can the Exige 410 be? Google tells me without any fluids in the car, the lowest possible weight is 1054kg, but that's with all the lightweight options... with all the fluids + a full gas tank added, they talk about 1108kg? That's still a 72kg difference to mine! My Exige has: The touring pack (Sound deadening + Carpets) Standard seats (non-carbon) Standard battery (no lightweight LiPo option) Harness strut + 4-point harness Standard exhaust (non-titanium) Aerie Performance carbon sideskirts Quaife Differential Radio AC Cruise Control Do you think all these options add up to 72kg? My Exige with a full tank and me in it, is 1250kg... wow! 😅
  4. I'm really a bit surprised by the reactions to the Cup2 here. I know they are much slower in the wet compared to a regular pilot sport 4 / 5, but to me they are still very well behaved tyres. I was surprised at the grip levels of them compared to what I was used to from the R888R (not the same level, but still very good (in the dry) once warmed up). In the wet they are (IMHO) certainly MUCH better than the R888R (i've had 235/17 in the rear on the VX220). Of course i don't drive the Exige without traction control if it's wet (maximum sport mode, but not with everything off). Of course you can break traction and get into small slides, let's say in a roundabout, but nothing out of the expected, and very well controllable in my opinion. I drive them with much more confidence compared to the R888R on the VX (again, talking about wet conditions). In terms of hydroplaning it's not even a comparison (again, IMHO). I find the Cup2s a very nice mix between a sports tyre and a proper semi slick, while still feeling much closer to a normal sports tyre in terms of noise and daily drivability. Personally i wouldn't want any other tyres on the car. We have a fair bit of cold and rainy weather in Switzerland. I've even driven the car in cold absolutely pouring down rainstorm weather with lots of standing water, and felt completely safe. PS: Maybe this is derailing the discussion a bit.
  5. Previous to owning my exige, i've driven a 260HP VX220 on Toyo R888R for the past nine years. Compared to that, the Cup 2 are amazing in bad conditions. 😅
  6. Very beautiful car / colour combo. Be aware that it seems to be on Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres (265 rear), instead of the stock Pilot Sport Cup 2 (stock 285 rear).
  7. I've bought several parts from Aerie. I'm very happy with the side skirts. They look great on the car and the quality is nearly perfect. I've also bought their rear diffuser, which i then gave away to someone else for free (wasn't happy with the clear coat quality as it had visible specks in it, and the carbon weave is not a V shape). I've ended up ordering the OEM rear carbon diffuser. With Aerie you get the carbon parts for a fraction of the OEM price, but there's certain things you need to keep in mind in my opinion: - OEM parts are symetrical / form a V-shape with the carbon weave. This is not the case with many of the Aerie parts. - They have some weird look in terms of reflections in the sunlight. It's not bad, but the OEM parts really show how perfect they are in direct sunlight (they shine in that regard... pun intended). I'm currently waiting for the rear carbon aero blades from Aerie. Ordered them december 5th, received a digital image of a shipping label in whatsapp 20 days ago, still waiting for a (promised) tracking number, no more replies to my messages since two days... 😐
  8. Thanks Dave! Are there any additional parts needed, or is the rest of the job just man hours / work? This is where i am not sure if the items sold by Komotec / my lotus dealership, differ (and therefor are so much more expensive)? Or is this really just a markup on price here in Switzerland / Germany? I cannot imagine that import taxes will be anywhere near 800-900 Euro...
  9. I might be intereseted in the future to install a quaife diff in my Exige 410. My question is about which exact model is needed, and the pricing. I'm based in Switzerland, so my first go to sources are my lotus dealership, and Komotec (Germany). Komotec has the Quaife listed at 1579.- Euro (excluding shipping costs). https://www.komo-tec.com/en/lotus-evora/supercharger/gearbox/386/limited-slip-differential-quaife-exige-s-v6/evora-2gr/ea60?c=908 The lotus dealership in Switzerland is even worse at 1730.- Euro! If I google a bit, I can find results from the UK (directly from Quaife), for... 868.- Euro (including shipping costs)! https://shop.quaife.co.uk/shop/atb-differentials/quaife-lotus-elise-exige-aisin-bc16-atb-differential/ Am I missing something here? Is there a reason why i should buy the part in Switzerland / Germany and pay DOUBLE? Is this the same differential?
  10. Thank you Ryan! Looks good to me! I was afraid the tyres would look too wide for the wheels / arches, but it looks fine from the pictures and videos. I have ordered a set and I'm looking forward to get them installed. PS: Now i want the rear black panel painted in Motorsport Green... 😍
  11. Would you happen to have a picture of how the 295 look / how wide they are?
  12. Thought i‘d dump some pictures here. The ones that follow me on instagram have already seen most of these. Pictures above were shot by me. Following pictures were shot by a guy i‘ve met on the Grimsel mountain pass who asked if he can photograph the car.
  13. I also see them available in Switzerland. Question is: Are 295 overkill? My Exige 410 is currently on 265 with stock geometry and even with the 265 the car feels very understeery...
