  1. Saw on Instagram, absolutely stunning; you should upload the photos where it got loads of attention I need to take mine over at some point.
  2. Oops, I forgot to link the relevant Lotus Parts site link in my last post, this is what I meant by "item 2 onwards". https://parts.lotuscars.com/a/Lotus_2019_Exige-2GR---SC-Sport-410/_50016_9108636/Exhaust-System/12MY_Exige_4501.html (parts site is buggy, if it shows in $, it's actually the same number but in £). So in reality it might be item 3 onwards it seems... I haven't added up the costs but you might be better off going with 2bular's EPK or similar, less restrictive also.
  3. Keep in mind that a Roadster will likely be more difficult to move on, and that the roof comes off on all these cars (see Pete's link and I've got a couple of posts in there). But I do think the interior of this Roadster would do it for me over the white coupes currently on sale for less money: https://www.pistonheads.com/buy/listing/15578199 Could also buy a hardtop, wing and front splitter to "convert" the roadster and get the best of both worlds, though Roadsters always look better than in reality than in photos. Yes, you can buy a non-390+ car and retrofit all the required exhaust parts. For drivetrain differences, see my post in the thread Pete linked (and quoted below). Otherwise, pre-350 cars have the old gear linkage which isn't anywhere near as nice apparently (can't comment personally). I believe it's the facelift 350+ cars that have more nicely trimmed interiors (Alcantara etc.). Glass hatch on the older cars. My post in that thread doesn't mention the exhaust bits required as I'm not actually sure. I believe everything after item 2 backwards is required but a specialist will need to clarify that.
  4. Sorry, I should have been clearer. I don't think it's unrealistic to presume that the special editions are probably going to have stronger residuals if the market gets tough, regardless of the validity of the reasons. I wouldn't pay a premium for a special edition car but given the choice I'd probably go that way. None of this is rational but I'd imagine it is almost universal!
  5. This is correct and regardless, even for road use it is 100% worth getting the geo done. The £90k 430s are looking more enticing than they previously were, but £20k for a mechanically identical car is a little challenging! A different case for the special editions (Type 25s and 49s for example) but otherwise...
  6. @lil_greenie Any chance of you getting a refund for the carbon diffuser finisher? I think Eltech's is herringbone/V-weave and is significantly cheaper. I think there's somebody in Australia we both follow on Instagram with a red Exige 410/420 has this. Maybe @GFWilliams is also using this part and can provide insight? R.e. reflections, maybe some orange peel on the Aerie parts or the clearcoat is particularly thin. I'm personally trying to determine if anybody does mirrored side intakes that don't require drilling into the clam (Alias23's require drilling into the clam like the OEM ones, but I don't want to make any irreversible changes).
  7. Genuine question here as I don't know the answer, but putting more ideas on the table. Sure it isn't worn shift forks (though I'm not sure if that would mean that you experience crunchiness 100% of the time instead) and/or synchros? MWR and Komo-Tec both do upgraded shift forks, Jubu probably do as well: https://www.monkeywrenchracing.com/product/mwr-hd-shift-fork-pad-set-4-evora-exige-v6-one-fork/ https://www.komo-tec.com/en/lotus-exige/mk3-toyota-v6350380/gearbox/1007/upgrade-shift-forks-v6-ea60?c=529 If there are similarities between the standard gearbox cooler on the 390-430 cars and the Jubu system, then it might not be the answer to your problems (awaiting an expert's input here). Even if the system has more cooling capacity, it may not actually be necessary.
  8. First post in this thread hints potential pad wear warning? https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=15&t=1818288&i=180 That said, looking at the service notes, I don't see anything about pad wear sensors.
  9. Seen you around numerous times, I was the troll under the bridge that gave you a thumbs-up 😊
  10. Just a quick thanks to all you folks, much appreciated!
  11. Quick thread hijack, but same topic! I'm coming up to the 4th year service on my 410. I've umm'ed and ahh'ed over whether to fit a Moroso oil sump and whether the baffles need replacing after 2 years and around 5k miles (car is at approximately 9.5k now). No track usage (well, do 7 crawling laps of Curborough in the soaking wet on Cup 2s count? :D) and no particularly hard driving (thanks "40 everywhere" people). I've frequently heard they aren't worth doing at the intervals specified by Lotus for "normal" usage, but opinions welcome
  12. Parked on a driveway, pleasantly surprised to spot you! Would be good to meet for a drive ;)
  13. Yeah that sounds about right. Dave from Hangar 111: Honestly, if it's predominantly road use, you'll probably be OK. Otherwise, worth speaking to an SL/H111 to see if they can do a variation of the EX430 tune or similar, but with the headers it makes more sense at that point to go EX475 instead. Plenty are running EX460 and EX475 for track use without issue; make of that what you will
  14. Is this for track use or road use? For road use I doubt this will be an issue. Plenty with the Komo-Tec kits haven't had any issues even with track usage. That'll likely be OK too. Might be worth reaching out to SeriouslyLotus/Hangar111 and seeing if there would be any issues moving to one of the 200-cell cat systems (e.g. 2Bular, Komo-Tec) without the tune? Decat systems (e.g. Aerie Performance) don't require a tune so I'd imagine these would be similar?
  15. I wouldn't say anything appreciable unless you're looking for dry lap times and are right at the limit, but the difference in tyres will be far greater than sizes.
