2010 s2 elise rad fan on from cold

Hi

Use my elise couple of times a week, no issues till today, started it up from cold and rad fan came on straight away on start up. Had this before in an old elise and took it for a blast and it sorted itself out, this time no such luck after a drive. 

Anybody had similar, know anything i can try to resolve this?

no mil light on, no other issues with car, non air con model.

On the S2 there is a fan control module located on top of the LH (or is it RH...) front wheel arch liner.
