Martyn

Sounds good to me, prob easier than Watford Junction which was where I was planning to meet Kimbers. Let me know what time you want me there and if there's anywhere special you want me to meet you?

Hi Mat,

I've done a bit of checking and there's no engineering work going on either the central or victoria lines on Saturday 3rd Nov and the journey time to either Walthamstow or Leyton is around 45mins. I can park at Walthamstow so I would sugest getting the central line to oxford circus and then changing to the victoria line to get you to Walthamstow. Sunday the victoria line isn't running so I'll have to drop you off at leyton instead.

We need some times from Kmbers and James to figure out the rest. I think probably the best meeting point would be South Mimms, if you can give a rough time you might be there I can figure out the rest with Mat.

Mat I'll PM my mobile number to you shortly.

Martyn

PS: For those not living in London you should probably note Watford Junction is "North of London" not "North London" :)

Anyone else care to join us?

The Saturday night is fireworks night round these here parts! So we'll be having a bit of a thing then, but Sunday morning will see me up and about bright and early screaming up the A34 to join you at the Lobster Pot.

Hi guys :)

Am going to make a seperate 'Who's up for a curry' thread in about a week,

then i'll book somewhere for the saturday night. No point doing it now as our

lot always change plans/ cancel/ decide they are actually coming now etc, at

the last minute ,and we don't need more than a few days notice to book a table.

watch for the thread as i'm not trawling this one to work out who might be coming!

Am not booking the porridge pot for a meal after the show this year. It's open anyway

so anyone that wants to can go back there after, but last year my 20 turned to 12 as

people cancelled/ had to go early etc. I'll probably stop there on the way back but will

decide on the day.

Ok?

thats a shame really, it made it a day out, instead of a sunday meet.

Right I'm deffo up for the Sun Morn, can't do Sat night as I have a 3.5 year old who NEEDS to go a fireworks display!!!

In a few years he may understand that an Esprit Turbo is much more interesting than a few lights popping in the sky. :)

PS: For those not living in London you should probably note Watford Junction is "North of London" not "North London"

One of my friends at Uni (who hailed from Sheffield) always believed that Watford was just a service station on the M1.

He never did understand that Watford was about an hour south of Watford Gap.

It's said that if you are born north of the Watford Gap, you are a Northerner. Watford Gap is just sound of the midlands.

Read again mate!

It's open all day and i intend to go back, so you will have your day out!

Just that being as it's open, i figure that we can just walk in rather than

reserve what was thirty seats needlessly. Then people are free to decide

on the day. The curry is a different issue as if you are at the hotel then

you are committed to coming, no excuses!

Stanstead about midday on Saturday

Yasuo, but we'd be more than happy to push it back by 1 - 2 hours if it'll make your travel/flight plans easier.

Kimbers, in fact wonder if it might be an idea to do that anyway? It'll take us an hour to South Mimms, then no more than 1.5 hrs to the hotel. So if we left Stansted at 12 o'c, even allowing an extra 30 - 45 mins for the trip to Milton Keynes, we'd still be at the hotel by 2:30 - 3:00. Bit early?
