yea , I think to be honest, its an S3 that I really want!!

its all about getting the right one tho ....

If I was going to buy an S3 then I would buy Dave Brown's (dodgy) its a stunning car always gets lots of attention at meets. PM Dave and ask him about it, he is currently in Canada working but due back in March I think...

Welcome to the forum, Robert. When they were new, the S3 was my favorite Esprit. Quick but without the complication of the turbo. Unfortunately you can't get them where I live. It was good of everyone to try to spend you money for you but the best advice was the one that told you to get along to some meetings and check out the cars. Learn which one you really want and can afford. Find out what they are like to live with. An Esprit will probably need more looking after than your Excel did. They are not necessarily unreliable but they do need careful maintenance. Of course, you will need to learn to spot the difference between a shiny one that's a money pit and a tattier one that's as sound as they come.
