Maxium likely oil temperature

Hi,

I've been asked by a potential supplier of some new oil lines what the maximum temperature of the oil is.

What is a safe upper limit to quote?

I don't know if it's of use but I have a gauge in my SE which stays at 60^oC when I'm making progress and gets to 80^oC in traffic, maxes out at 120^oC in the red but it's never moved over 80.

Looks like 150 would be reasonable upper limit then, although if the oil was ever at that temperature the integrity of the oil line would probably be the least of my wories. It is also out of the the way of the manifold so radiant heat has to be small.

A healthy working temperature for the oil is around 80 deg. Celsius. I would double that for the hose specification so IMHO you are fine with the 150 deg. Celsius specification.
