I have a 912 that was rebiult approx 2000 miles ago. It was fitted with New pistons and liners, the crank and conrods were balanced at the same time, all new bottom end bearings and the head was gas flowed. The parts alone cost approx

Yes you can also try Garry I know he still has a HC 912 with 65,000 miles on it I sold him last year.
