No parts fair 2008

Haven't read the CL mag for a while (got them , just not read them), apparently there is no parts fair at Stoneleigh this year.

It's a shame, I probably will have broken many more bits of the car by then, and need lots more tut.

For those on the Excel forum, here's what tipped me off.

it should have been 2nd November, that's the date the last club lotus newsletter says, but it says nothing about cancellation

Right, I've just read the CL mag.

Page 3 , July 2008 issue.

"There will not be a Parts fair the year but

there will be an extended Lotus autojumble

at Donnington in 2009 to make up fr it.

All Lotus autojumblers can contact us now

to reserve spaces as we expect to sell out as

usual.

Dates for Donnington will be announced

next issue"

And yes the typo was in the original mag article.

Shame. Always a good turn out at Stoneleigh and the best looking under cover garage available for oggling Esprits.

Bugger - anyone know why? Stoneleigh is just down the road from me so was always the one event I could guarantee I could make

I think when i spoke to Alan while setting up last year, that there was some problem with dates

colliding. i thought it was the NEC classic show or something, not sure.

Pity, as it was a cheaper oppertunity for me to hotel/meet/night out than the three day factory

event that i'm not going to this year.

Maybe i could sort out a meet at the porridgepot with say a drive out saturday, then we could

book for the night at the holiday inn and i can sort a curry in warwick again, then folk can have

their own little runs home on the sunday?

Cheap do.
