Gasket replacement - alternatives

Hi guys

on removing the 'plenum?' on my S4s, the basket tore.

Can i use an instant type gasket material?

There won't be any clearance issues, but the joint will be under positive pressure

Any recommended products?

Thanks

Don't be tight buy a new gasket. In the mean time I have been known to use "Ultra Blue" made by permatex which is an American product www.permatex.com

In reality the pressure is relatively small, so that wont be a problem for virtually any gasket goo. I would however choose one that is fuel resistant. But, as Roger says, buy a new one! My tip is to grease it before you fit it. It will be gas tight and it allows it to be re-used many times.

cheer Steve.
