Went up to the Duke's Pass (in the Trossach's in Scotland) a couple of weekend's ago and took some shots of the Evora:

I noticed the engine cover on Monday and wondered if the factory had an experimental car there, it was very exciting!

Rear badge went off during handwashing...

The engine cover is a joke, really expensive joke. Not lighter than the OE one, paint job is awfull, I will send some pics of it. Really don't know what is it made for.

Is the black roof a custom paint job or something Lotus can do?

I didn't like the Carbon Grey the first time that I saw one at my dealer. Now I really love this color ! Very "chic" ;-)

No paint job, no factory work.

Just a gloss black 3M vynil. Wanted to try before a paint job... The vynil will never look like a paint, and really fragile when you wash it. You have twirls and so on... But the paint job is not reversible. So, I think to keep the vynil on the roof, and I odered 2 mirrors caps to paint them. As this, I could go back OEM if wished.

I don't suppose someone could photoshop a gloss black roof onto a chrome orange Evora for me... (I'm thinking you Justin...!)

I'd love to know how that would look.

I've tried it, and really didn't like it if I'm honest. I like it on the grey as its a bit more subtle.

I kind of like the roof that colour... but also quite dislike it at the same time...!

I would like it if it was only the roof section painted black which then flows into the black surround of the rear window.

Why they did the rest of the tail gate I don't know, it spoils it and looks messy from the rear 3/4.
