No, thank goodness. It's Paul's (Doulou). He only noticed it when he was changing the speedo cable! Fitting a nice new shiny one this week.

Combination, I reckon. All suspension mountings are WAY too tight, but corrosion around the sleeve was the ultimate killer.

Ouch, thats prob corrosion swelling - its the split bush. Can't really over tighten that - the threads would strip before that cracked.

Oh well, at least you havent gotta worry about taking it off and keeping it intact (note to self, must turn rear studs)

I think about £350, but add about another £100 for stud/nuts/bush etc.

That's a good advert for "Maintenance", that all looks very original. I've always found maintenance much cheaper than repair.
