Ah, you guys!
Most entertaining and cheering to read these messages. Anyhow, I appropriated a motorcycle and jumped the fence this evening and am now at home enjoying a decent coffee and something called television. Not out of the woods yet, but no smoking gun found so far and a few more investigations to endure as an outpatient, with plenty of reviews along the way. At least some of the nastier possibilities have been eliminated. But not all.
Two horrific days on AAU were followed by an outstanding stay on Winter Ward in a bay with 3 other guys - all diabetics - in various states of 'decay' but with fantastic senses of humour. We had a great laugh long into the evenings, despite each suffering his respective probes, needles and other such instruments of torture, and managed to keep the outstanding staff entertained. Bonds are made strong with fellow sufferers in hospital.
I'm still anaemic and thoroughly exhausted, and under Matron Tracy's orders to take it easy for a while. Shame, as I was just starting my 'reduced' programme of 2024 work.
And I don't blame @MPxat all, honest. Maybe I'm allergic to Esprits now...
