1979 Elite 503 breaking

Dan, the boot lock itself is a Triumph TR7 boot lock.

A metal plate will need to be made up to attach to the back to operate the lock.

Thanks Paul...however I did previously get one said to be off a TR7 and there was no obvious connection between it and the actual catch  - would you mean a metal plate under where the cylinder goes, as I can still "lock" and open the boot simply by sticking a long screwdriver down the tube and nudging the catch (officer) , but accept an actual lock cylinder won`t operate that way...

The connecting piece is a folded metal plate, I took pictures for a previous post.

Search the forum for: elite S2 boot lock

It attaches to the back of the cylinder with a small machine screw.
