CGI Explained?

I watched the link you posted, quite interesting to see what Disney R&D are up to! I found myself watching the film in the cinema on Sunday, in Stereo 3D (just before another film).

 

It's very clean and graphic like the traditional Disney but the characters in Disney's hand drawn animation tend to be looser and less like reality.

 

I do prefer the CGI that doesn't look like CGI theres lots of room for art in the medium it's just more expensive.

That is amazing, looks completely real which makes me ask why they didnt just film and use a real camera?

Nice video. With CGI you can use camera angles that would be harder to achieve with a real camera. Also on set filming is costly relatively speaking.

i hope to be doing this sort of thing for a living in a few years time
