Sometimes the rear cover gasket seeps oil, or it might be from the gear select shaft - wouldn't have thought that was a huge job 9ie bigger than the driveshaft seals which i've got to do on mine !).

Didn't word have it that that car was not particularly well cared for? "Thrashed to within an inch of its life" I think was one comment. Adrian Mugridge also got a quote of nearly a grand for a pukka refurb of his Magnesios too.
