Newlands Corner Monthly Meet - Sunday 17th February

Time for another Sunday breakfast gathering for some of the finest bacon rolls around. In collaboration with the "little cars" this is our regular third Sunday of the month event, a chance to gather with like-minded enthusiasts and a cross section of Lotus models.

An informal gathering with no particular runs in or out organised, just a chance to chat, look at cars and take in the view. Join from 09.00 when the cafe opens for bacon rolls. We'll probably be around until 10.00/10.30.

Good to see you chaps this morning, tried to pop in on Rebecca on the way home but there was a white Evora blocking the driveway so decided to go home instead.

Well got just outside Dorking on the A25 behind a line of traffic going about 45mph before the car started juddering, lost power, backfired a few times and then cut out. Waited for the breakdown truck just under an hour and the car started first time. The breakdown guy couldnt find anything immediately wrong so followed me back to Redhill and the car then came back home about 20 miles without problem.

 

Any ideas welcome, - fuel pump on the way out????

Sorry to hear that Mike.  Dodgy HT leads or a loose connection perhaps?  I remember my Elan breaking down many years ago in similar fashion and it was eventually traced to a corroded connector.

 

Great to see so many at Newlands Corner today despite the foggy conditions first thing.
