My Cousin Vinny...completely cracked me up.

Proud recipient of the LEF 'Car of the Month Award' February 2008

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming: "Wow, what a ride!!"

Hmmm, as a film buff I would say, in no particular order:

Something About Mary

Monty Pythons Holy Grail

Cactus Jack.....Great old Western with Kirk Douglas and Arnie.....yes Arnie! Really! Watch it you'll understand!

Kung Pow - Enter the Fist......Truely Awesome Dubbed over Kung Foo movie with Oedekirk superimposed over the hero!

NUMERU UNO!!!! is Baseket Ball. You will laugh so hard that you wil pull a muscle, Vomit and pass out from oxygen starvation. Film by 2 guys who do Southpark, they also star in it. If you haven't seen it do so IMMEDIATELY!......

Strange but true. If you love Monty Python you will love these.

Possibly save your life. Check out this website. https://www.cancerresearchuk.org/about-cancer/mens-cancer

Got to be Airplane when it first came out in the cinemas and was totally fresh. I've never ever been in a cinema where the whole audience was in stitches for the whole film, magic time, my sides were aching after that one!

Yep, and the first Naked gun. Love that scene at the docks where Frank

bribes the Harbour master to talk, but the harbour master starts bribing

him, Frank leave the converstaion a few dollars up...

:P

Frank: l'm gonna talk to the harbour-master...

Harbour master: Yeah?

Lieutenant Drebin, Police Squad.

l remember you. What do you want?

l wanna ask some questions.

Are you familiar with that face?

l don't know.

My memory ain't so great.

Oh, yeah?

Maybe this'll refresh your memory.

Still hazy.

How about this?

l remember. Why do you want to know?

l can't tell you.

Maybe this'll help.

l don't think l should.

Still don't think so?

lt's Nordberg, he's a cop.

No, he was dealin' 'H'.

What?

He was dirty!

Scum! l ought to

run you in right now!

He worked at Ludwig's Shipping.

He tried to push something.

What are you gonna do about it?

Why should l tell you?

Maybe this'll help.

l shouldn't tell you.

Can you spot me a ?

How about now?

l'm going down to Ludwig's office.

l'll find out if you're telling the truth.

Clockwise with John Cleese

or Marx brothers films take some beating

The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself.

Little less known is Steve Martin's "The Jerk"

Finally watched "Team America, World Police" as well and rolling around on the floor :P

The Holy Grail - I saw it when I was about 13, the Black Knight scene is the only time I have geniuinely p#d myself laughing! :P

Had to nip upstairs and change, mid-film! :P Huuuuge Python fan :P

^^^ Some great films listed up there. I am a bit of a Steve Martin fan too - (The man with Two Brains, the bar scene in Roxanne...) I liked Chevy Chase too. :)

Some of you guys might be interested in this lot:

They show classic 80's movies and are working their way around the country.

I've seen Goonies, Ghostbusters, Lost Boys etc :P

Ooooh! Time Bandits - Awesome.

Erik The Viking :P

The poems of John Lillison, England's Greatest One-Armed Poet, as read by Dr. Michael Hfuhruhurr:

"In Dillman's Grove"

In Dillman's Grove, our love did die,

And now in ground shall ever lie.

None could e'er replace her visage,

Until your face brought thoughts of kissage.

"Pointy Birds"

O pointy birds, o pointy pointy,

Anoint my head, anointy-nointy.

I also relly liked The Young Franlenstein. Marty Feldman was a god!

2 more:

"Super Troopers", no-one has heard of this and it's hilarious

"So I married and Axe murderer"...."HEED, PAPER, NOOO !"...."piper down, there's a piper down" :(

Python goes without saying, "Life of Brian" isn't just funny but very very clever, same with the Holy Grail.....although there is a guy at work who thought they were crap and switched them off (says it all).

Does anyone remember the "Goon Show" ? not TV/Film (before the time) but Sellers, Milligan and Secomb are hilarious in that - bluebottle cracks me up - yeehiiiii :(

Definitely Grail, always a Python fan, but that allowed a feature length dose. ("English Ka-niggits! You nastee wipairs of othair peepel bottoms!)

ditto Airplane and Naked Gun, had all of the 6 or 12 Police Squad episodes on tape, the flash in the pan but hilarious inspiration to the Naked Gun films. Naked Gun brought Police Squad back to life at feature length. The Naked Gun films were even brought to mind recently when a female CNN reporter went to the loo during a Bush speech or press conference with a hot mike! She was much less vocal and flatulent than Frank Drebin, but plenty embarrassing for the poor lady.

Napolean Dynamite was slow but had some hilarious vignettes and has become an icon ("nice bike, you ever take it off any sweet jumps?")

most recent: 40 yr old Virgin had me literally ROFLMAO :(

Any Buster Keaton silent film.

Life of Brian

Cat Ballou

The Wrong Trousers

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

Pirates of the Carribean

Some films I thought were hilarious at the time don't seem so funny now. :(

S4 Elan, Elan +2S, Federal-spec, World Championship Edition S2 Esprit #42, S1 Elise, Excel SE

So I married an Axe Muderer was classic (He's got a heed like an Orange on a toothpick!)

Man with 2 Brains (That was the best almost sex I ever had)

Spaceballs!!

We are the knights who say....NEEEE! Holy Grail (Go boil your bottom under a silly person!, Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries)

OH god Baseketball is just awesome!

See no Evil Hear no Evil

What about the American Pie movies? First one had me lying on the floor of the Cinema crying it was so funny! Second one likewise, especially with the "we go you go" episode and the Third with the dog poo brownie.....ROFL

So many brilliant movies!

Monty Python is of course one of my favorites:

Black knight (with arms and legs cut off):

"I'm invincible!"

Arthur:

"You're a looney."

Black knight:

"The Black Knight always triumphs! Have at you! Come on, then. Oh. Oh, I see. Running away, eh? You yellow bastards! Come back here and take what's coming to you. I'll bite your legs off!" :(

The splatter-side of my humor likes Braindead, Bad taste and the Evil Dead-triology (Groovy, baby!) And for childish/stupid humor nothing beats Freddy got fingered :(

Airplane or Airplane 2 (specifically the bit where Shatner appears on the 'monitor')

Happy Gilmore (when Happy challenges Shooter)

Kung Fu Hustle (especially the "Who's throwing handles" sequence)

Any Python (except possibly The Meaning Of Life)

Cannonball Run (or any Burt Reynolds film where they include the outtakes at the end)

Lake Placid ("He seemed taller")

The Black Knight scene was the one that made me change my underwear! :):(

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels - Good remember! I love that film

"We have a guest. What do we do for guests?

What did we do when Uncle Ted was here?

No, Ruprecht.

No...

...after that" :(

"When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle. Then I realised that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked him to forgive me."

Now somewhat politically incorrect, but try "The Party" - Peters Sellers 1968. Funny, even if he does drive a three wheel Morgan in it.
