cam carrier advice needed

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if I need to remove the cam cover in order to remove the complete carrier or are the bolts holding it in place the 5 you can see from the top?

In order to remove the CamCarrier housing you need to remove the brass plugs and the cam cover so you can have access to the torx bolts (spanner size E10) and a couple of nuts (IIRC spanner size 13).

 

Don't forget to use bar type magnets in order to retain the camfollowers in the camhousing when you remove the camhousing.

 

Each Camhousing is secured by 8 Torx bolts and 2 pcs. of M8 nuts.
