Oil cooler unions

Any tips about how to undo these inside the front luggage compartment.  I can lower off the front undertray without removing the oil cooler, and it feels like I'm going to shear the connection off at this rate

use a penetrating oil. Lotus used some tough green loctite on there, and those are very difficult to loosen the large thin nuts.  Don't even try those without a proper tool.

 

The hose end connectors are easier to loosen, but space is tight.  You might want to remove the headlight motors to make room.

 

 

Also, very important! Loosen, but do not remove the other bolt that holds the oil coolers!  You need this in place or you won't be able to loosen the hose connections without pivoting the oil cooler, which can damage it on the bumper plastic underneath.

And be careful not to break the bolt off!
