I will be checking the codes but right now my main problem is getting that clutch line. Still just waiting for that call to get one shipped here. I may have found a shop that can do the crimps but they need to see the hose which I can not get to them until at least Monday. So either way it is going to be a few days.

I can confirm the V8 has a standard OBDII connector. In fact it has two - one under the passenger dash and one next to the battery in the boot.

Google "red hose syndrome" and you'l see a wealth of information on the clutch line.  Try called JAE Parts in Santa Barbara, they have an incredible depth of knowledge on these cars (you also get a forum discount)

I know that for years Lotus claimed there was no such thing as 'red plastic hose' syndrome but I thought the V8s had a metal tube running through the chassis for the clutch fluid, just a few inches of red plastic hose between it & the cylinders (master & slave).  :rtfm:
